Gorgeous little place
When we originally walked in I thought ‘so small’. But it’s actually more than what we needed. It’s bigger than a hotel room, location is fantastic, and we only really slept there. Loved listening to the buskers at night on the bridge. Not far to walk to the Vatican or other historic sites of Rome.
The apartment is in a decent area of Rome. I do have some major complaints though. The windows are supposedly “sound proof” but this is not the case. It’s as if you were on the street with the cars.
The shower is freezing cold- even after turning the water heater on hours before you shower. You can maybe get a shower for 6 minutes before it turns ice cold. Also the towels and linen are old and need to be replaced. I would not recommend this apartment especially after the host holding part of my deposit.
Via giulia is considered one of the most beautiful and expensive street in Rome I am happy you considered it as a “decent “ aerea . The windows are double glazed and I don’t think anyone has considered itself in the street . As for the water boiler you need to wait for half an hour until it becomes hot .
We try to do our best to please everyone but unfortunately it is not always easy :-)
Small but well maintained flat in a safe location. We chose this flat from the map as it is equidistant to all the Rome highlights and we planned on walking everywhere. (There's a bus stop to the southeast down Vallati which is only a few paces away from the front door for those that don't intend on walking) As a huge bonus there are tons of great restaurants and cafes in very close proximity, especially across the pedestrian bridge. In fact the best dinner we had was across the bridge at Osteria da Zi Umberto. As another stated here, there is also a market close by. We tried to leave the window open at night but noise from the street and amount of people outside was loud. That said, the windows are modern and do an excellent job of drowning out the noise. Lastly I'd like to add that the communication between us and the contact, Rana, was easy and the response time, fast. We highly recommend this place.
Needs a few more details to make it a great place
A more comfortable chair, the mattress on the sofa slides
Some wine glasses would be nice
Great location, walking distance from major sites, restaurants and markets nearby. The washing machine wasn't working at the time but we received a compensation after. Keep in mind that the ac unit does not reach the bed on the mezzanine, it can be an issue on a very hot day. Good water pressure on the shower and beautiful kitchen utensils.
It’s a great apartment. There was plenty of room for the three of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. Walking distance to most attractions in Rome. The owner was excellent answering all questions and giving great suggestions.
Via Giulia is next to Trastervere, Vatican, Campo Dei Fiori, Pizza Farnese, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon.
