About Jill Hammond
This property boasts a fully-functioning, family-owned goat dairy and creamery as well as acres of avocados and tropical fruit. The views are spectacular and you'll find serenity and privacy at this home away from home.
Jill Hammond purchased this House in 1979
Why Jill Hammond chose Cambria
The farm was founded by Jack's grandfather in 1979. He established the orchard and developed the ranch. After graduating college and briefly working in technology, Jack decided to move down to the farm to take over operations and started the creamery operations.
What makes this House unique
This ranch has the perfect climate and access to all that the Central Coast has to offer, but adds a level of privacy and luxury unavailable almost anywhere else. Whether hiking on the ranch, strolling Main Street in the charming town of Cambria, visiting nearby Hearst Castle and San Simeon's Elephant Seals, or sampling the delicious wines of the Central California Coast, you are only a short drive away. We look forward to hosting you!

Amazing house in secluded location
This house was perfect for our family vacation with 10 people. Beautiful house on top of the hill on a large ranch, with amazing views. It’s very secluded and private, as it requires driving a fair distance up the hill on an unpaved road on the ranch. Definitely best to have an SUV or truck if staying at this property.
The kitchen was probably the best part of the house— it was huge with two large refrigerators, three sinks, two dishwashers, professional Viking range top with built in skillet. The house is very spacious and never felt crowded.
We did the goat farm tour and kids and adults all loved it. The tour guide, Whitney, was very friendly and informative.
Jill was very helpful and prompt with communication from the moment I inquired about the rental. This was the best VRBO rental experience I’ve had so far.
Wonderful place to stay. .
Beautiful views, well equipped, very private. Loved this property.
Mom's memorial at moonstone beach
We had a small family weekend to spread my mom's ashes in Cambria. Cambria is where my parents used to visit for their wedding anniversary which was July 13. The property was beautiful, very well stocked, and everyone was comfortable and had plenty to do. The location was a bit treacherous getting to. The listing said 3.5 miles from town, but that must be as the crow flies (or turkey vulture rather.) I thought to myself as we were finding the house, "what have I gotten myself into." But once we finally arrived, we realized quickly that it was well worth the long bumpy ride. I would visit again for a very special occasion. It's quite out of our price range even when splitting with another family, but this was a time when we could spare no expense.
This place is fantastic. Didn’t want to leave. Great views and a game room, which came in handy as we had a lot of kids with us. For a rental this place has very nice amenities especially in the kitchen. We cooked pretty much all our meals there and we had everything we needed. The property manager Jill was very easy to work with, not over bearing at all. We will go back.
Amazing Location and Views!
All ran very smoothly. Property is exactly as it shows on site. We loved our stay!
A Must Stay in Cambria
Impeccable property, incredible staff and gorgeous setting. We're so lucky we got a chance to stay at the Ranch. We hope to do it again someday!
Our ranch is located 5.2 miles up San Simeon Creek Road off of the Hwy 1, just 15 minutes to the beach (5.2 miles) and 18 minutes to downtown Cambria! It is rural and located off a dirt road behind a locked gate entry.
