What makes this Cabin unique
At the north and opposite end of our street (corner of Cedar Land and Timberland Rd), is the Ride Out Community Center and the trailhead to Ward Creek Park, a designated California State Park. The Park is 180 acres and has an extensive trail system that ties in with the bike path along Highway 89, connects with USFS trails to Stanford Rock, Twin Peaks, the Tahoe Rim Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and Paige Meadows. There are three excellent dining choices about a mile of the house, all highly visible on Hwy 89, that are all right across the street from each other. Sunnyside Resort offer high-end lakeside dining, Spoon offers family style dining, Firesign Cafe is a great breakfast and lunch spot, and Sunnyside Market and Deli where you can pick up deli-style sandwiches and basics (i.e. milk, eggs, bread, beer, soda, ice cream, etc.). There are other options about 3 miles to the south on Hwy 89 around Homewood many, many more about 3 miles to the north in and around Tahoe City.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great property! Really enjoyed our stay!
Nice and cozy. Provided all necessities. Hot tub was warm but had a weird smell to it and water looked a little dirty. Really close to fun activities. Some neighbors were very friendly but we caught one neighbor taking pictures of us (flash was on so it was obvious). Master bedroom was amazing ... very comfy bed. Cute place to stay with little family.
Wonderful for a weekend get away
We had a great time in this cabin. It had everything we needed and was in a great location, close to Tahoe city, the lake, and hiking trails. We spent every night relaxing in the hot tub. Very happy with our stay.
Cabin is located down a hill. Stairs to cabin have no hand rails half way down. When we arrived and opened door there was a strong order possibly from a dog peeing on the rug. Stairs to bedroom very steep and narrow. There are no hand rails at steeper end. Very dangerous. Not recommended for an older couple. Also there was an old couch sitting on the deck and cushions by the garbage can. Couch was then moved to driveway. Looked very tacky and junkie. Hot tub was great and kitchen nice. For the price of the cabin it is in need of some TLC or update. We left 3 days early.
We replaced the living room furniture the day before your arrival. There was a short delay in getting the old furniture removed from the property but it is gone now. The hands rails were damaged during heavy winter snowfall but have been repaired. Carpet has been professionally cleaned to minimize pet oder.
Cute Cozy Gingerbread Cabin with an awesome jacuzzi.
Cabin is just as pictured. Conveniently located by Tahoe City and Squaw/Alpine slopes. Huge mudroom which is great for shoes, storage and undressing big coats before entering home. Family room is small as shown. Gas fireplace heats the home nicely as well as baseboard heaters. We had some trouble getting the house heater started but it was unnecessary. Big kitchen which is nicely equipped. Big bathroom but small shower. Steep small staircase to the upstairs with two bedrooms. Lower collapsed ceilings on the sides like an attic remodel. All of this is represented in the pictures and should come as no surprise. Dust on the window shades and some cobwebs in the corners but the rest of the house was very clean. Great yard with an awesome clean jacuzzi. Wifi and TV had some issues. Might be due to mountains and trees or weather. Biggest issue was driveway. If there is snow, driveway will be icey. You need 4 wheel drive or chains. We literally put chains on solely to get out of the driveway. Overall, cabin was great for married couple with two kids and dog. Any issues should come as no surprise because it's a small cabin in the woods where it snows at a specific price point. I walked around the neighborhood and this cabin was one of the cutest that really brings a storybook feeling to your vacation.
Very cute house but could use some minor maintenance like 3 of 4 light bulbs in bathroom were out.
And the bathroom sink didn’t drain at all. Probably worth noting that the outside stairs to the house don’t get shoveled and can get very icy so people should be careful! But cute house, thanks!
