Superb house with beautiful pool
My family stayed for one week 4th to 11th August. The house was immaculate with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Great location, lovely swimming pool, fantastic BBQ, comfy beds, nicely decorated, clean and homely, good wi-fi, nice villages and towns to visit, really can't say a bad word about the place! Even had sky sports which kept my 18 year old son happy on the one rainy day we had. Would recommend to friends and family and would definitely book again. Thanks
Do pleased you enjoyed your holiday
A lovely house in a lovely setting
We had an amazing 2 week stay in this lovely place, house has everything you need comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen and is spotless, the site is spotless and quiet and is great having your own pool, the kids loved it. We had many a bbq on a hot sunny evening, you can get out and about easily to places lots to do in the area Michelle and Paul were lovely and on hand to help when needed. would definately recommend this place it is fab .
Delighted you enjoyed your holiday .
Very comfortable property in beautifully maintained complex.
Comfortable, well equipped house in a beautifully maintained complex. Private garden and great little pool. The flyscreens on all the window were fantastic!! The local French people are really friendly, the new little shop in Les Forges is terrific, stocking all sorts of local produce and the market in Vasle was good.
Delighted you enjoyed your holiday
A home from home holiday let!
We had a really great holiday. The property was amazing with home from home comforts. The beds were really comfortable. My son (17) was very happy to have Sky sports so he was able to watch football! The pool was lovely and the temperature was perfect. The only downside about the pool area was that there were only two sunloungers which wasn't great with four of us,especially as in the website pictures it shows that there are four. Overall a fantastic place to stay and would definitely think about going back.
Thanks for your observations regarding there being only 2 sun loungers. I confirm that we will ensure that in 2018 there will be 4 sun loungers.
Lovely property in quiet part of France
A well-maintained property with a lovely pool on a site in rural France. The pool and the on-site AstroTurf putting area made the location ideal for our 10 year old. The site was quiet and the property private. The property is a home me from home with Sky sports and a small but well- equipped kitchen. The only downside was a lack of a fan as temperatures high in August. The surrounding area is quiet although if prepared to try the local restaurants then great value - although they tend to be a set menu. Try Auberge des Voyageurs in Meningute which was particularly good and owner speaks English.
Poitiers is the largest city in the area, about 45 mins away - well worth a visit. Do watch out for the crazy local drivers on the small roads.
We would certainly recommend this property.
The owners will ensure that there are fans in the bedrooms from 2017 onwards.
Back for a second year
This is the second year we have stayed at the villa. It is peaceful and just like stepping into the pictures. The pretty villa is high spec and has the charm without the old fashioned inconveniences of an old villa. The sun terrace gets sun for most of the day and a lovely sun trap in the afternoon / evening. The pool is heated all the time so excellent for an early or late swim and surrounded by very well maintained gardens with a lovely view over adjoining field.
Our children are six and one year old and it was pretty easy to keep an eye on them. Two minutes away is a large communal pool with a climbing frame.
The local village has an amazing boulangerie with cakes to die for and any locals we came across were very friendly. The journey to / from Calais was virtually traffic free 2nd / 16th August (about 7hrs) so not too bad a day travelling but within minutes of arriving one is on a worry free holiday.
The meet and greet speaks English and is very welcoming. The owner in terms of contact and providing all that one needs in the villa makes this feel a home from home – cannot recommend highly enough.
Thanks for your review. Alastair
