5 bedroom, 5 bath house on a 35 Acre working farm with horses, Cows and Chickens
About Ryan Bernholz
Ellen And Ryan purchased the farm in 2010 with the idea of getting their kids out of suburbia and into the country for the weekends and holidays. We felt that fresh air and farm chores were positive for the kids and adults.

Lovely long weekend
We had a lovely long weekend at this very spacious property. It’s a great setting for a multi-family gathering. Easy drive to Lake Minnewaska, breweries, farm stands, etc. We hope to rent the property again, maybe in the Fall.
Not as shown
Not a working farm as advertised. A huge issue!
House was not very clean and not sure when it was so called “renovated”. . Showers had mold , kitchen fridge had not been cleaned, food all over remote for tv. May seem little but when you pay for something that you think you are getting and show up to something else - it’s very disappointing. A/C only in a few rooms.
We choose this property based on it being advertised as a working farm. - and we get there with no explanation as to why the farm was basically closed up. There’s a handful of horses - but can’t feed them or ride them.
Total waste of money .
Beautiful Farm House with lots of room for 3 families with a total of 4 young children. The bedrooms are all in different areas of the home so it is good with young children from one family not disturbing another family with young children.
Beautiful property, perfect for multiple families
We recently spent 3 nights at Twin Spruce Farm. The home is a beautifully restored farmhouse with so many amenities. There is plenty of space to spread out and the house is well appointed. Ryan and Madeline were very helpful and accommodating during our stay. We loved trying the meat from the farm and the kids loved visiting the horses and swimming in the pool. The home is very private, but just 10-20 minutes from many charming towns, great restaurants, hikes and other outdoor activities. We loved our stay and would absolutely come back.
Sumptuous building, bucolic grounds
The house, originally two large stone houses connected together, is beautiful. Three living rooms, a very large kitchen, and at least 5 bedrooms, all with high-quality woodwork and furnishings. It is surrounded by well-kept lawns, specimen trees, a creek, a pond, stables with horses, and an inviting swimming pool. Lots of privacy. It’s a special place.
Three parts five star and one part rustic
Could not do better as a place to create priceless family memories.
