About Andrew Hughes
I am a Seattle attorney. This area holds a special place in my heart as both a University of Washington alumni and someone who has spent over a decade living and exploring Seattle and the the incredible University District neighborhood. I love the energy and diversity of the people and activities the University District shares with all those who visit. Whether it is shopping and strolling through the University Village or along University Way, having a picnic under the cherry blossoms in the University of Washington campus quad, browsing the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings, taking a canoe through the arboretum on Lake Washington on a beautiful summer day, or just sitting and relaxing at one of countless local cafes - there is always something to do, to taste, and always another reason to live and stay in the University District. I hope you will join me so that I may share my love for this area, Seattle, and the State of Washington as a whole. Safe travels and I hope to see you soon.

What makes this House unique
I am centrally located and only a few short blocks from the University of Washington Campus and a short bus, car, or cab ride from downtown Seattle. The countless other unique Seattle neighborhoods, each with their own individual identity - including, Fremont, Ballard, Capital Hill, Madison Park, & more - are only a short distance away and are exceptional places to explore and enjoy. Although close to campus and downtown, the property is a peaceful escape from pace of the city. On a clear day you can awake to the sun rising over the Cascade Mountains and Lake Washington from your private deck and when we get an occasional snow in the winter you can behold the same beauty bundled up inside next to the fire. Within minutes of stepping outside your door you can be walking or jogging along the Burke Gilman Trail or enjoy one of our favorite walking loops around Green Lake with a coffee in hand. Wonderful restaurants and cafes are within walkable distance whether you walk east or west. If you choose to stay in for the night our wonderfully appointed property can provide you with everything you could want or need for a relaxing and quiet evening. The property is well-appointed with all new furnishings and incredible amenities. Whether you are visiting Seattle for the first time, in the area for a local event or activity, staying for work, play, or visiting family or friends, I would be honored to share our home with you during your stay in Seattle.

perfect location for U of W events
We wanted a place to stay while we (3 couples) attended a football game at U of W. This home is as close as you can get---you are literally on Greek row. The view is beautiful and the great room is really comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted really well and every couple was happy with their own bedroom and bathroom. The carpet could use replacing, but given the price, location and other attributes, who cares?
Cool Urban Home
We were happy with our rental. The craftsman style home is beautiful. The location is convenient and Andrew was great to deal with! I would recommend.
Large well furnished house in University area on quiet street. Views to the east are lovely! So nice to be able to enjoy having the windows open during the day. Those with small children should know that there aren't screens on the windows though. Andrew was very communicative when we needed towels and soap. It can be hard to find a place with multiple bedrooms and baths and this place fit the bill. Having one of the rooms on the first floor is handy for those who can't walk upstairs. Thanks again Andrew for your help
Our stay in Seattle
A very nice house, beautiful view. Easy check in, convenient location. Lot's of space, good amenities. Would definitely rent again.
Beautiful Home, Great Location
Our family of four spent several days in Seattle seeing the sites (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum, Bainbridge Island and Pikes Market). The house was about 10-15 minutes from most of the places we wanted to see, so it gave us great access to the places we wanted to visit without being too close to downtown. We also liked the proximity to University Village which was walking distance from the house — the walk did involve going down a few flights of stairs but the climb back up burned off many of the calories consumed in the Village!
The house was very clean, with beautiful views and great living space. Having a full bath for each bedroom was a big plus.
A couple suggestions: a couple more garbage cans (perhaps one in the master bedroom and a larger one in the kitchen), more kitchen supplies (zip lock bags, sponges, napkins, Saran Wrap, cooking oils).
Overall, it was a great house and a great experience.
