This beautiful holiday home is located near Houffalize. It's ideal for families with children or a larger family and it features a very spacious garden and a sauna. The holiday home is cosy and comfortable and is equipped with all modern conveniences. The wonderful wide view through the large windows in the living room is very nice. Looking out over the snow-covered garden, sitting by the fireplace, you'll think that life almost couldn't get any better. When the weather is nice, you can of course go outside into the spacious grass garden with terrace where you can have a wonderful meal together. Or you can enjoy a fine glass of wine or Belgian beer in the evening sun. In Houffalize, you'll find shops and restaurants. The area around Houffalize is perfect for active tourists –it has more than 100 kilometres of hiking and mountain bike trails. Other fun things to see in the area include: the brewery in Achouffe (7 km), the Rocks of Le Hérou (14 km), or the bison farm in Recogne (16 km). Durbuy (47 km), the smallest city in the world, is also worth a visit. In the winter, you can go (cross country) skiing in Baraque de Fraiture (15 km). * This holiday home is characterised by peace and quiet and therefore not rented out to groups of young people * Student parties, hen/stag parties and drinking parties are not allowed in this holiday home * Check-in before 4 PM is not possible. * A surcharge of €20 applies if the arrival times are not respected.

Het keukengerei mag wat worden uitgebreid en het servies is wat vervallen.. verder zijn er wat apparaten toe aan vervanging, waaronder een veeeel te kleine tv. Als je een week moet binnen zitten is dit echt kansloos. Ligging en ruimte een dikke 10!

de ontvangst was strikt volgens coronaregels slechts één persoon met mondmasker mocht mee binnen. Nu daar hadden we geen problemen mee, helaas eenmaal binnen was het snel duidelijk hygiene en netheid stonden niet hoog aangeschreven (80 € reiningskosten??) ook de indeling en sfeer (een kleine verwijzing naar kerst toe) was nihil. Eenmaal boven gekomen bleek dat bij twee slaapkamer de deur niet dicht kon? .......... dus bij deze een aanrader NEE meer woorden moeten hier niet aan VUIL gemaakt worden

Het huis is op zich in orde, ruim en lekker warm. Echter, toen wij aankwamen was het niet schoon. We zijn met 6 personen allen een uur bezig geweest met reinigen. De keuken was niet schoon, vieze koelkast, bestek, servies en glazen, alles moesten we reinigen. De vaat wasser is niet goed, reinigt niet goed. De onderste lade van de vaatwasser zit er niet goed in en de deur buigt door. Verder; overal vet en stof beneden (op lampen, op kasten). Badkamer beneden; niet goed warm te krijgen en de afvoer van de douchebak niet in orde, water loopt slecht weg. De deuren van de slaapkamers sluiten niet, de deuren lijken niet in de kozijnen te passen. De bedden zijn goed echter de matrasbeschermers zijn vuil en versleten. De sauna werkte niet. De kastdeuren bevatten allemaal vieze vingerafdrukken, de klinken en lichtschakelaars in het hele huis waren vet. Kortom, we hebben het allemaal gereinigd bij aankomst. Ik heb contact met de verhuurder gezocht om de 80 euro reeds contant afgerekende schoonmaakkosten terug te vragen, zij vroeg om foto's van de vervuiling. Deze heb ik gestuurd, ik heb vervolgens niets meer van haar vernomen, ook niet nadat ik haar 2 x een reminder had gestuurd. Het serviesgoed is dringend aan vervanging toe. Met name de kopjes en mokken, bijna alles is beschadigd en het is allemaal een bijeengeraapt boeltje. Menig kringloopwinkel heeft beter servies! Ik had al slechte recensies gelezen onder deze woning, echter ik had verwacht dat de verhuurder hier inmiddels wel iets mee gedaan zou hebben. Dat is dus niet het geval. Ik ga jaarlijks in de herfst naar een woning in de Ardennen, ik ben nog nooit zo'n vies interieur tegengekomen en ook vanwege niet werkende faciliteiten (sauna, vaatwasser) zou ik deze woning niet aanraden, voor deze prijs kun je véél betere accommodaties krijgen!
