Maiori, Amalfi Coast
The house was perfect and really clean! The location was directly in the middle of the main downtown strip, and a just few hundred feet from the beach! I would definitely stay here again. Alessandra was amazing to deal with and has a great knowledge of the area. She can also arrange parking if needed. I would recommend this apartment to my friends and family, if they are ever in the area.
This apartment is on the main high street of maiori and within a few minutes walk of the beach! There are some wonderful restaurants close by and bars that are open until you stop buying drinks! The apartment itself was a beautiful space, so open and had everything we needed, a bathroom for each room and a kitchen with amenities!
The host had fantastic communication and was most helpful in giving me advise on how to get to maiori at the time we landed! Lovely little touches such as lemon chello were left in the apartment for us too!
I would highly recommend this property if you are staying in Maiori, great location and a wonderful/helpful host!
Lots of space, centrally located, only footsteps to the beach
This is great apartment that is right on the main street in Maiori. Alessandra was really nice and showed us the various restaurants, etc. She also arranged for paid parking for us for 15 euros per day which was quite convenient as we chose not to use our car for the entire 5-day stay.
Maiori itself is a much cheaper option than the more expensive towns on the Amalfi Coast, and we found it to be much more family oriented. We were able to go to the public beach in the morning and the water was really warm, and the waves were just raucous enough for the kids to enjoy them, but not big enough for us to worry about their safety. In the afternoons we would rent an umbrella and a few chairs for around 25 Euros - quite reasonable compared to rest of the coast.
From Maiori you can get a boat ride over to Amalfi for a few Euros, and then take day trips over to Positano or Capri for relatively cheap if you plan it yourself. Public buses are also available [buy tickets in advance at the newstand], but they were a bit unreliable.
All told, we had our most relaxing time on the Amalfi Coast just chilling out in Maiori, so I'd highly reccomend spending some time here, and this holiday home was perfect for us. My only complaint was on the weekends, the street can get quite loud which made it hard to sleep - but nothing a good white noise machine couldn't sort out!
