Large gated property, close to beaches & shopping on popular walking street
About Lisa Hansen
We are a family of four and we like to spend time at the beach, camping, skiing, swimming, and traveling whenever possible. We have lived in Encinitas for almost 20 years and just love everything about it. We enjoy meeting new people that share the love for our little beach town and surrounding areas.
Lisa Hansen purchased this Studio in 2012
Why Lisa Hansen chose Encinitas
Our property is very unique. It is close to everything - the beach, shops, the freeway (but not too close) and yet it is very private. We have the most amazing street - it lined with old trees and views of the ocean to the west and the valley to the east. Encinitas has many great places to experience, and our little neighborhood is one of them!
What makes this Studio unique
There are so many things to do in our backyard! You can go to the beach, visit the botanical gardens, the Hwy 101 shops and restaurants or the Self Realization Center, then come back and sit by the pool to enjoy the view and watch the hot air balloons in the afternoon, have a drink, read, relax, and then visit out of our amazing local restaurants for dinner. The perfect getaway!

Bright & Cheery Studio
This cozy studio has big glass sliders overlooking the pool and the hills beyond. It was comfortably set up with everything I needed for my stay. Everyone I met was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice stay at a quiet spot with gorgeous view of mountains and sunrise over a swimming pool. Owners are helpful, thoughtful and friendly. Cereal, coffee and snacks were provided as well as milk & wine in the mini fridge. Plenty of towels and beach equipment available. AC unit is on hand, but rarely needed. Kitchen has a mini fridge & microwave. Bed was comfy. Nice street to walk or jog on and location is close to Encinitas village, the U and Bobby Riggs tennis & Pickleball center. Great spot!
This was a very clean property with all amenities we needed for our stay. Owner was so nice to leave welcome snacks and a bottle of wine. Very close to Cardiff where we were visiting family. Great quiet location in a wonderful neighborhood. Owner very responsive. Highly recommend and hope to return.
Perfect for my week visiting family. The pool house is very comfortable and perfect for 1 or 2 persons
Thank you to Lisa, Greg and Jill. Your pool house is a cozy, quiet retreat. We really enjoyed the outdoor space. Your property was clean and close to everything we needed. Jill made sure that we had everything we could want! She is a gem. We will definitely stay here again when visiting our kids!
We had a wonderful stay in this little pool house. It was cozy, comfy, well equipped, lovely, quite and has the potential of bringing our family some time in the future, hopefully, because there is a big house to rent as well as the pool house. Thank you

Encinitas is a Spanish name meaning 'little oaks'. It is a coastal beach city in San Diego County, California. Located within Southern California, it is approximately 25 miles (40 km) north of San Diego in North County and about 95 miles (153 km) south of Los Angeles. The largest single industry in the city is the growing of ornamental flowers, particularly poinsettias. Encinitas has a very mild, Mediterranean climate. Average daily high temperature is 72 °F (22 °C). Temperatures below 40 °F (4 °C) and above 85 °F (29 °C) are rare. Average rainfall is about 10 inches (250 mm) per year.
We are in a great location that is close to the I-5 freeway. We live on a quiet street that is perfect for walking. All the chain stores are within 2 miles: VONS, Trader Joes, TJ Maxx, Sprouts, Chipotle, Target, Barnes and Noble, and many Starbucks. In addition there are many local restaurants that are great for quick, healthy meals or fine dining.
We are about 10 minutes to the gate of Legoland, 30 to the San Diego Zoo, and 40 to the Wild Animal Park. Our beaches are fabulous, each one unique with local flair. Driving to the beach is recommended, but if you like walking and don't mind hills, it is less than 2 miles. If you want to experience San Diego without the hustle and bustle of being in the city, Encinitas has a lot to offer.
