Listen to the creek and smell the crisp mountain air. Great family vacation at this house in the woods!
This home was everything we had hoped for, and more! We wanted a remote, relaxing retreat near Mt. Hood, close enough to great hiking spots and good restaurants, which this home was both. We loved going up to the Timberline Lodge, going on some beautiful hikes nearby, driving out to the gorge, and checking out a bunch of breweries in the area. The creek out back was absolutely spectacular, the hot tub was amazing, and everyone loved being treated to seeing mt. Hood at sunset (truly breathtaking!). I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a well-appointed, relaxing retreat. The *only* thing we wish we would have known about was the fact that the couch in the TV area was a pullout bed, but we survived just fine without it. :)
Great house but a few hiccups!
Wonderful home and property, we felt right at home with all the items stocked that we could possibly need! However, there are definitely a few things to be aware of prior to your trip. None of which would stop me from booking again but I think the home is a newer rental and they need to work some things out. There was someone at the house checking the hot tub and changing the propane tank when we got there so we never actually checked in and then upon check out we discovered that the key codes weren’t accurate to the instructions. There’s no cell service and the WiFi hardly works so be prepared to be off the grid and unable to check in with home unless you have a (503) number to cal from the landline. They didn’t email any driving or home instructions and our maps sent us through forest roads to get to the cabin so make sure you map ahead and only take main roads since you won’t have service. Clean sheets and towels but the bedroom comforters smelled slept in and unwashed. All that being said, it was still a great home! Plenty of kitchen cookware, dining ware, towels, etc. Comfortable beds, well-crafted home with big windows. Hot tub and fire pits, BBQ, and lots of space for all the activities!
Hi Ashley, thank you for your feedback! We have investigated the WiFi and it is working well. Regarding driving directions and home instructions, we do send out a check-in email 6 days prior to check-in, which contains driving directions, as well as a link to your Trip Manager, where you can find a detailed guide to the home. Sometimes this email does go to a spam folder, so we always encourage guests to give us a call at our 24/7 Guest Services line if they do not receive the email. Finally, we do wash all of the bedding, including comforters, prior to our guests checking in. We hope to host you again!
Nothing but WOW!
We booked this place based on the other reviews... which were spot on!
Amazing location and setting far from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
We booked a 3-night stay here and if it weren’t for prior engagements, we would’ve made it a 4-5 night EASY!
The creek! The hot tub outside! The living space! The games! It all surpassed our expectations! Looking forward to visiting again.
Our stay was great. It’s a quiet spot yet still close to Hood and Rhododendron community. The creek on the property, hot tub, and ping pong table were the highlights at the house. Internet is slow and there were some carpenter ants but that’s not a big deal at all. We plan on staying again.
Great cabin! Highly recommend!
This cabin is great! Perfect place if you want to get away. Clean, nice and great layout. Definitely would stay here again.
