About Susan Alston-Richardson
Michael and Sue and the farm dogs and chickens enjoy our hideaway. Wildlife is abundant with a deer herd that roams the property and a great variety of birds.
Why Susan Alston-Richardson chose Roswell
This place is serene and quiet yet close to the City. Lots to see and do around Roswell.
What makes this Bungalow unique
The Casita was actually an old structure originally on the property from the 1930's. We totally rebuilt it and converted into a most comfortable little home.

Great cozy house, only thing was the bathtub too for ever to drain when you took a shower.
Convenient to Roswell history
The cottage was a perfect place to visit the town and the history and the many surrounding areas of interest in the southwest. There was an area surrounding the property which provided walks through the fields with our dog and a pleasant place to be. We were given much input into all the functions of the electrical outlets, fans, air conditioning, kitchen supplies, etc. We loved the area.
Nice stay, but not as planned
We had a very nice time in Roswell. We reserved the Casita (which I would recommend--it is renovated and very charming)--but when we arrived the air conditioning was not functioning and the temperature was quite high. Immediately we contacted Susan's assistant Malinda who moved us into the Guest Quarters which had a functioning air conditioner and laundry facilities. It was not as charming as the Casita, but we were comfortable and were able to adjust. These things do happen and the promptness with which we were moved to another space was greatly appreciated!
overall, the stay was really nice
Owners, Mike n Susan were tops... Only draw back with VRBO is you folks didnt know much about the property and had NOT visited, so the VRBO reservationist said.. Dont u think u should LOOK at properties you advertise? would have helped in making our reservation.. WE thought we would be on the ater BUT was a bit down the road from us.. BUT, we were happy and rested..
thnx to the owners..

Wished we stayed longer. It was so peaceful here and the surroundings -- apple trees, gardens, birds galore, the pond and the neighbor's alpaca farm -- were serene and soothing. The casita was the best place we stayed on our road trip from California. Inside it was clean, comfy and cozy, with plenty of kitchen and seating space. It was close to downtown, where the local coffee shop has some of the best coffee I've ever had. There is a great antique store where we bought a few things and the UFO Museum was a combo of fun, geeky and informative.
Host and owner Susan was hospitable. A massage therapist was available on site! My daughter and I played a lot of badminton in the yard next to the apple trees. The apples are good, too. Not sour or crab apples, but good green apples. I hope to come back.
Perfect when traveling with Country Dogs
This place is AWESOME!!! Susan was great! We will be staying here again! This house is super cute, just off what looks like a main road, but is really a quiet country road. A great little yard for our dogs to sniff and play a little, very comfortable bed, cozy living room. Quite the find!
