We are a professional couple (still working) Civil service, Education and Music. We live in a large semi rural property in Shropshire just outside Bridgnorth with cats (Bengals) Dogs (St Bernard and a Beagle) Koi Carp and geese not forgetting our son's parrot (he's at University and our daughter recently completed her BSChons degree) Don't worry none of the animals travel to Spain with us! .We decided to buy a property in Spain to enjoy long overdue Holidays in the sun while we are still working, then spend a little more time here in our retirement as well as having somewhere our children, family and friends can enjoy with us . At the same time, by creating a home from home with the standard of furnishing and fittings we would expect at home we have developed our apartment into one that we feel will appeal to anyone looking for a relaxing rental property for holidays and longer term lets when we are unable to be there. Our motivation to let the property is simply to cover our yearly costs, not to make a substantial profit!

Why Christine Edwards chose Mar de Pulpí
We looked at apartments, townhouses and villas the length and breadth of Spain. Almeria quickly became the area of choice because of the long season. No properties we saw could offer the finish, the quality, the space, proximity to the beach, sea and mountain views plus the superb outdoor space and the facilities allowing the apartment to be used throughout the year (heated and unheated infinity pools saunas jacuzzis landscaped gardens and marine park etc) Coupled with the 325 days of sunshine and very mild winters (around 18 degrees) It is set in a beautiful part of Spain without the high rise style of a Benidorm and although quiet and relaxing everything you could possibly wish for is close at hand, and when you do fancy a faster pace Aguilas is just 10 minutes away by car or taxi and Mojacar around 30 minutes so its the best of both worlds. Plus, with a view to renting the apartment it will also appeal to keen sports folk! Aguilon golf is just 3km away and the on site gym and sports facilities are excellent and the snorkelling/scuba diving opportunities are also fantastic.

Wifi throughout. Gorgeous modern kitchen with ultra fast induction hob, oven, large fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine. As well as the luxurious appointments and very comfortable choice of furniture/beds etc. The most important benefit are the fabulous views to the sea and mountains and our proximity to the beach (2-3 minutes walk) and the large choice of glorious beaches around, The year long facilities of the heated infinity pools (frontline to the each) Jacuzzis and 2 Saunas. The commercial centre with gym restaurants coffee bars etc. Above all the exclusive feel to the immaculate development and the relaxed pace of life!

A Little Piece of Paradise
Beautiful, fully equipped apartment located in immaculate gardens. Loved the heated outdoor pool & jacuzzi, within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants & beach. Had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

Modern well appointed apartment very well maintained.
The appartment was very well appointed in a very well maintained secure complex. The only problem was we expected more of the weather which was no fault of the owner. At the end of our stay the wind was extremely strong and cold. Had the weather been kinder we would have enjoyed our stay more.

Very nice, well equiped apartment
The apartment is one of the best we have ever stayed in with everything you could need. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as a handy supermarket. The pool area is just fantastic and, if that's not your thing, the sea is a 5 minute walk away. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone and we will be going back.

The property was immaculate. Lovely modern furniture. Kitchen had more than everything you need. Roof top views were amazing. Mountains at one side and the sea at the other! Spent most of our time on the roof top enjoying the sun. Restaurants on complex great and chiringuito. Beach bit seaweedy but fab beaches ,5 mins walk n drive away. Pools fab! Will be booking again for next year. Thanks Christine

Great Winter Stay
Lovely sea view from the lounge - very well equipped and furnished apartment - easy on road parking - relaxing and peaceful urbanisation - very helpful local agent. The lounge terrace is in the sun all morning until around 2.30pm and until much later on the rooftop. Good internet connection and good choice of English tv channels - however the controls are quite fiddly. We regularly used the wonderful outdoor heated pool and the two heated outdoor jacuzzis - the urbanisation grounds are very well maintained. A variety of sports teams stayed in the urbanisation for training including several visits from Alberto Contador and his cycling team - very interesting to observe. There is a lovely 3 km beach view walk into San Juan (mostly along the paseo so traffic free) where there are two main restaurant/bars open each day (Venta de Terreros serve amazing Asiatico coffee) throughout our stay many more opened. Each Sunday morning there is a market in San Juan square - this was the only day that the local butcher and baker opened. There is a good supermarket 5 minutes walk from the apartment and another one in San Juan. We thoroughly enjoyed our winter stay - thank you

A pristine apartment in a lovely complex.
This a lovely new apartment, furnishined in a contemporary but comfortable way. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The roof terrace is a fantastic space with incredible sea views. The Mar de Pulpi complex is really well maintained with very pretty communal areas. The pools (plural) are all really good and one of them is heated (we used it in November). The village is an easy half hour walk but there are also restaurants just a couple of minutes from the apartment. We will definitely be staying there again.
