About this property

Narrows Cottage is the perfect place to relax with a lovely view of the narrow channel between Upper and Lower Twin Lakes. The lakes are ideal for boating, kayaking, canoeing and all water sports. The channel is a peaceful setting with lots of wildlife, including ducks, geese, chipmunks, muskrat, osprey, eagles, heron and an occasional moose. There is a five mile per hour no wake zone on the channel which also contributes to the peaceful setting. Bring your boat or kayak and enjoy the water, or use the rowboat and canoe provided.
Our cottage sleeps 7 with a master bedroom downstairs and a great room upstairs with a queen bed and 3 twin beds. Our beds all have 600 thread count Eqyptian cotton sheets and pillows and blankets are included.
The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cookware and tableware. Our table in the nook overlooks the backyard and lake and seats 6. There is also a table on the back deck to enjoy a meal and a view.
We offer a washer and dryer with detergent included. The laundry room has plenty of space to store your luggage , ice chest and any toys you bring to the lake! Linens and towels are provided and there is soap at every sink and a hairdryer in each bathroom.
On those cool evenings, enjoy a fire in the family room wood stove or outside in the backyard firepit with wood provided.
We offer lots of outdoor seating on our 3 house decks and on the lower deck near the water.
There is a TV for your use upstairs and down with a VHS/DVD player at each one. A variety of VHS and DVD family friendly movies are available for your entertainment.
We also offer a canoe, rowboat, assorted life jackets, outdoor shower with city water, gas BBQ grill with propane provided, hose and faucet for fish cleaning OUTSIDE, and parking for 2 vehicles

Relax and unplug

We had a fabulous time on the lake! We were in town visiting our niece, what a relaxing place to come home to after exploring! It was fun to come back and relax on the lake, fish, and kayak. We had a BBQ and fire (plenty of real nice firewood provided)! The neighbors and surrounding homeowners were very friendly! Amy has thought of so many little details, that you don’t even think of, we had most of our meals there because it was so easy. Everything was clean and organized. There is no Wi-Fi, but we found that we liked that (we were able to make phone calls just fine). There were a lot of family friendly DVDs, felt nostalgic. Check in process was easy and there are flood lights if you arrive in the dark. Over all, it was amazing and we for sure will be back again! Thank you!

Lake Cottage

This cottage is a nice getaway. We chose it to facilitate a trip to Silverwood theme park, it is about 20 minutes away. It is secluded, tucked away on the lake. The property offered a great view of the lake and access to it. It was clean and worked well for us. The host interaction was great for us, questions were answered quickly. I would stay here again if I was coming to the area.

Twin Lakes Reunion

My sister and I brought our husbands here where our mom and her brothers grew up. This was our annual family vacation spot. We reunited with our uncle, as our mom just passed recently. It was a beautiful reunion as we celebrated our mom’s life. It was so comforting to know she will rest in peace by her childhood cabin. Thank you Amy! My favorite VRBO spot ever. Everything is as owner posted.

Nice little place

Great little place on the lake. The kayak and the paddle board was a big hit. The floor plan for the house is a little quirky but I guess that’s how homes used to get designed. Carpet, flooring, paint, cabinets, bathrooms all were in great condition and seemed like they were all recently updated within a year or two. The house did smell a little musty, but you get used to it after a little while. The things plugged in all the outlets are there to deter rodents ( they work, we didn’t see any) we thought they were cameras at first but found out after looking them up online. The dogs living next door are so adorable and friendly and they came by a few times to say hi. The “narrows” part of the lake is the section that connects upper and lower twin lakes together. Pretty shallow area so you need to be careful if your in a ski boat. Watch out if you have a tower on your boat as the bridge is very low. Perfect place for sunsets and kayaking. Overall, we had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly. Prices on the lake are so expensive, this one was very reasonable.
