Disclosure Statement: Hilltop Haven is a fully "hosted" vacation rental studio. Your hosts live here on the main floor above you, 365 days of the year and are here to make sure that your stay in the Big Island is all that you could hope for it to be. And yet you have all the privacy, your own dedicated entrance, as your own home within the home. We are thrilled to be able to share our spectacular views and wonderful climate.. Hawaii "Transient Accommodations Tax", ID Number : TA-028-975-3088-01 is monthly remitted to the State.

Are you concerned about the virus? Be assured that we are too. Our standard operating procedure is to thoroughly clean the studio after every booking. Besides washing and wiping down with disinfectants, we use an ozone generator known to kill moulds and viruses. So be welcome and assured that we at Hilltop Haven have done our part.

Very modern and as we like to say better than the Hilton at a fraction of the cost. We want you to be able to experience Hawaii and the Big Island to its fullest without spending a great amount on your lodging. And yet you will love your accommodations so much you may not want to leave. Secure and peaceful, a common comment is about the attention to detail. That and the great sleeps our guests have. Fully wifi equipped!

Fabulous location and super great hosts

I loved staying at Hilltop Haven. I felt so very welcomed when I arrived. The hosts greeted me and helped me settle in. They brought me several "extras" at my request, e.g. a warm quilt since I sleep cold. They responded immediately when I had a small issue with the shade going off the track. Everything you could wish for, and more, was right there waiting for you. Fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful bath with a gorgeous live orchid, a super comfortable bed and a stunning view out the window to Mauna Kea and the observatories. Very quiet and peaceful and just a short minute or two into town. I couldn't have asked for more.

Hawaii hilltop

Agree with all previous reviews about accommodation. If you want peace and quiet it is perfect. Comfortable and well equipped and well-located for facilities and exploring Big Island. Responsive and helpful hosts.

Dale & Patsy moved to Hawaii from Canada in 2005, one of the best decisions we made. A building contractor and a Physical Therapist, we are committed to making your stay memorable and healing in every way. We are sorry that we just recently, finally chose to raise our rates a little. Even though we had been constantly advised by our hosting company. Finally the ever rising cost of living here, especially property taxes which they were very open about. They were rising because we have a "Short Stay Vacation Rental". So we apologize but when the County and hosting agency make more at this than we do, we needed to hold our nose and pass along at least a little bit of the cost. We appreciate you continuing to support us and not paying the +/- $1,000/night that the big resorts are charging just for a place to rest your head at night. We recognize that there is so much more to see and do here in "paradise"

We enjoyd using your studio as our starting point for adventures to Two Step for snorkeling, a breathtaking drive to S. Kona, shopping, exploring the resort areas, taking in a beautiful sunset at A Bay and a nice drive through Cowboy Country and on up to Hawi. While we are sad to be leavingthe Big Island we know & trust that the time we spent here will forever live on in our memories.

What makes this property unique

We are located at 2,900 ft. elevation, perched above Waimea and with an eagle's view of the island. We could never have imagined a more perfect spot. No central heat (we do have fireplaces, one even in your studio but it is highly unlikely you will need it) and no air-conditioning, there just is no need. We sleep 365 nights of the year under covers instead of tossing and turning feeling too hot and sticky.

If you enjoy people but like having your own private space where it is peace and quiet. An almost rural setting yet you are just minutes away from the best the Island of Hawaii has to offer in restaurants, resorts and amenities.

The studio itself is so fully contained, yet comfortable, with Queen bed, sitting and dining areas, full kitchen, entertainment center with DISH network satellite TV, and sound/video systems. And of course wifi equipped! The owners have tried to think of everything, coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, even a white noise machine just in case it is too quiet for you.
