About Kristen Chasey, Rental Manager
Hello and welcome. My name is Sarah and this is my family's home away from home. I remember it well - my parents were semi-retired when they fell in love with San Miguel de Allende (SMA). The stories of festivals, music, food, and good people filled our evenings upon their return from their SMA travels. In 2007, they started going more to SMA from their home in Vancouver, BC where our extended family lives. When they were not in SMA, they missed it terribly, and found themselves returning many times each year. They loved it so much, they eventually bought a casa and later built a casita where you will find our family's art, warmth, and joy of SMA living. They wish they could have spent more time in SMA, but since the family and grandchildren were in the Pacific Northwest corner of Canada, they decided to share their home with others. My father took care of my mother, the love of his life, until she passed away in early 2017. Hearing the joy in their voices as they talked about this beautiful family home made our family want to continue to share it with others. My mother often described SMA as her "happy place" - may it become yours as well. I'm sure you will find our community of dear friends (Kristen - our Rental Manager and Jerry - our Property Manager) are communicative, warm, and happy to help. Welcome...

Why Kristen Chasey, Rental Manager chose Allende
We chose this location because it is in a diverse and safe, family neighborhood. We wanted a home that would be walking distance to everything that SMA has to offer. This house also attracted us because we could enjoy beautiful views from a large roof-top terrace, and have a elaborate garden with fountains on the main level.
What makes this House unique
This elegant, comfortable home is located in a peaceful neighborhood, near to Centro. It is just a few minute walk to the world renowned Instituto Allende famous for art classes, as well as Spanish classes. The Saturday Organica Market and Parque Juárez are also just a few minutes away by foot. Parque Juárez is a magnificent spot where artists frequently set up their easels to paint and to sell their work. The home is an easy 20 minute walk to the Parroquia/Jardin in the center of town. Also, it is under 10 minutes to many trendy and fun restaurants, and an easy walk or cab ride to Mega, the largest supermarket in San Miguel. The home is a very short walk to the monthly Artisan Craft Fairs, and the hotel where the annual Literary Conference takes place. The taxis are plentiful, safe, affordable, and convenient. The house is also directly on a bus-line. This newly remodeled, designer home is tastefully decorated, luxurious, spacious and comfortable. It is a perfect place for entertaining, and ideal for a family/group retreat! The house has strong internet!

Lovely, beautiful house!! The best!!
Great and comfortable resistance!
We had a great time in San Miguel de Allende over the course of last week! This house is super nice and very well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a nice living/dining room area, kitchen and specially the wonderful courtyard with lovely plantations and waterfall. The house is ~15 min walk from the center. We walked very day and really enjoyed the lovely town of San Miguel and surrounding areas. Jerry the managing director took good care of us and was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend this house and look forward to visiting again!
Luxurious, comfortable, gorgeous garden
We stayed at Sanctuario for three glorious weeks. Beds perfect, linens perfect, showers perfect. No complaints. Though the house is a 20-25 minute walk to the center of town, there are great services nearby: good restaurants, a great French bakery, the large, local supermarket, etc. We would spend our mornings in the garden, reading in the dappled sunlight. Fireplaces kept the rooms cozy on cool nights, Great movie selection or use your Netflix. Wish we'd stayed another month!
This place is stunning
My friends and I stayed and this elegant house that has the most beautiful garden I've ever seen in the backyard of house.
There is a casita within the same walls that is a little smaller that our other friends stayed in. this Casita is hooked into the same courtyard.
There's gas fireplaces in almost every room with a kitchen that is very functional has everything you could think of that you would need for cooking and entertaining.
It is close to all the shopping and all the restaurants it's a short ride up the hill to the church. You could walk there if you were used to hill climbing.
Due to the daily morning noise of the city I gave it a four star it's actually a five-star place.
I think there's very few places in the city that you would get away from that morning noise. The rooftop terrace is very large and we could have spent more time up there if it was warmer it had a nice place to sit but does need a little more furniture up there as there was only a table and chairs. The place comes with a gardener and cleaning staff who were very helpful and did a good job.
I would recommend this place to stay you would not be disappointed.
Fabulous! Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped.
When we arrived it was unseasonably cool in San Miguel but the gas fireplaces kept us warm and comfortable. The gardeners and the maids were excellent often accommodating our erratic schedule. Making meals was easy in the well equipped kitchen with a major grocery store a 20 minute walk away. When we bought a lot of groceries we took a taxi back for a mere 50 pesos. We found that it was a very comfortable house for two couples.
The neighbourhood is clean and safe and retains the cultural qualities of a Mexican town. It is a short, pleasant 20 minute walk to the center of town.
Jerry and his staff were helpful and accommodating responding quickly to emails whenever we had questions or requests.
This wonderful property really made our stay in San Miguel special!
Beautiful accommodations and supplied with everything we needed. The management was fabulous.
In 2013, Condé Nast magazine selected San Miguel de Allende as the #1 destination spot in the world! Since then, they have listed SMA as one of the ten best vacation destinations in the world. San Miguel is a cosmopolitan city with daily cultural events and first-class restaurants. Since San Miguel is a haven for artists, musicians and art-lovers, the beauty of the art everywhere. Music fills the streets; in the clubs, cafés, restaurants and in the Jardin (the center of town).
SMA is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend days wandering the cobblestone streets, browsing the shops filled with pottery, art and antiques. Many people come to SMA to learn Spanish.
The San Miguel weather is temperate, so you can enjoy a perfect blend of cobblestone streets filled with magnificent architecture, outdoor activities and cultural events.
