About this property

This lovely home has an unobstructed view of the Gulf de Papgayo from all 4 of it's bedrooms, as well as the living areas!. The large kitchen has all of the amenities of home including dishwasher, microwave etc. Each bedroom has it's own private bath and two of the bedrooms have private entrances from the poolside patio. This allows for additional privacy for couples, if desired. There is also a private infinity edge pool with whirlpool. The home is appointed with quality furnishings for your ultimate relaxation.
It is part of a hillside community of homes in a gated/guarded development known as Hermosa Heights, which has a commercial center at the base of the hill including a SPA, popular restaurant/Bar, small theatre and childrens play area. There is also a community pool with water slides and mini golf area for your enjoyment.
It is a 10 minute walk to the world famous Playa Hermosa beach and centrally located to the areas finest restaurants.

Feared for life

First few days were great beautiful views, nice area. Things were great! On our 4th night of 6 night rental we were making dinner and the fire department came in and set burn lines all around the community. With no previous knowledge and being 300ft from the fires, that appeared out of control we evacuated and booked a hotel in the next town over. When I messaged the property management about the fires all I got was a response from the rental management company saying fire trucks are onsite. The smoke was thick and caused respiratory issues for my 3 children. There was no concern from the property management company about my family’s well being or anyone sent to cleanup all the ash left behind from the fire. The pool was full of debris left behind from the fires. After returning the next day and speaking to others that live in the community I came to understand that this was planned and happens yearly. These dates should be blacked out or at least mentioned to potential renters. I would never rent from the management company again

Casa Lasky

Property is spacious and the view is beautiful. The infinity pool was great and used daily. The neighborhood is quiet. Because bedrooms 3 and 4 have no entry into the rest of the home, I would recommend that a couple more keys be provided to enter the kitchen/livingroom area. Also having some plastic containers with lids added to the kitchen amenities would be good. Food shopping is very expensive. Consider bringing snacks and spices to save some money.

Family Vacation at Casa Lasky

We enjoyed a lovely week of vacation at Casa Lasky in Hermosa Heights, Costa Rica. The layout of the villa was perfect for our group. We were able to limit access to the pool to keep the young children secure. the photos do not do the property justice - the living area was large and open and perfect for dining in a big group as well as enjoying movie nights with the kids before they went to bed. The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, plates etc... We could have used a mid sized bowl - but were able to manage well anyways. There are no food supplies available - bring your own salt and pepper, sugar and coffee etc.... The grocery stores in Coco had pretty much everything we needed and the convenience store up the road was handy upon arrival to pick up a few things for the morning. Corby was great - making transportation arrangements for us as well as getting us discounts for tours. The pool was perfect for our group, and having the larger community pool/mini golf area available was super helpful for a change of pace some afternoons! Would love to see the coffee shop or a small restaurant return to the plaza area, and/or to the community pool area. We drove to the beach - it took about 20 minutes to walk there for 2 adults and we knew the kids would struggle with that kind of distance! Thanks for a great stay - would do it again!!

Lovely property

This vrbo was just as described and very clean, well equipped, plenty of beach towels, and cute animals would come visit when you sat on the deck. The pool was so convenient for a night swim after spending the day at the beach. The view was even better than the photos show! Renters should be aware that two of the bedrooms are only accessible from the outside deck and use different keys than the other doors (every door has a different key). This could be a problem if you are planning on using those 2 bedrooms for children as you have to lock all the doors separately- do you would either lock them in with no way out or they would lock themselves in and you cannot enter. The two bedrooms in the main part of the house don’t have this issue. Managers of this property are close by and will be there in a matter of minutes if you have any issues. It was a 5 minute drive to a great beach for swimming and watching the sunset, with nice restaurants right on the sand. We liked Roberto’s, Agua (both on the beach) and Ginger (short drive in town). I took one star off the check in process because the owner has a long inventory list they want you to sign on check in that includes how many spoons are there etc. I guess they may have had issues in the past? However, the local folks on site, Corby and Alex, were very helpful with the check in process and any minor issues or questions. We enjoyed our stay very much and thought that the pool, view, and space made it a good value for the cost.
