About Jennifer and Gregory
The Jinkins family have lived in Wimberley since 2012. Curtis owns a graphic design business called Neighborhood Studio and Toni homeschools their 2 boys, ages 9 and 5. They are a creative family who are inspired by spending time outdoors. This tiny house was a labor of love and they hope you enjoy staying here as much as they enjoyed creating it! Their friends, Jennifer and Gregory, are listing and managing the home and will take great care of you during your stay.

The stay was great, nice location and cute property.
Although there are houses right next door, it feels very secluded. Quiet and peaceful little house with everything you need inside! Would definitely stay there again or recommend to any of our friends!
Loved this Place!
I loved this place. Close to town but with the tranquil, country feel. I would recommend and I hope I get to return. Everything was clean and orderly...... outside hot tub was wonderful.
Great little place
Nice little place, nice and private if that is what you are looking for.
Cute little home for a couple.
Beautiful little home perfect for a couple's getaway. Owners were very helpful. One of the most comfortable bed and pillows we have ever slept on. Enjoyed all the wildlife around the property, including chickens and deer. You feel very secluded and peaceful while still very close to town and all local attractions and shops.Would definitely book again.
Really cute tiny house. But Many things went wrong..
If something goes wrong don’t expect immediate action or even a phone call back.
The a/c was leaking heavily and there was an insect infestation in the toaster oven.
No one called me back to see if all was ok. The manager told me to leave for the day if I didn’t like the leaking a/c
We definitely want to let all future guests know that we always, always, always get back to our guests and do everything in our power to resolve any issues that may arise. Our top priority is creating a great experience for the folks that choose to stay in our homes.
I feel the need to address this particular review. We discovered the AC unit had a slow leak while cleaning the home earlier that day and we alerted the guest by phone that our AC guy would be there to fix it right about check in time. Unfortunately when he arrived this guest wouldn't allow him to enter. When she called the next day upset about the leaking AC we went the extra mile to have the AC guy go back at the weekend rate to make the repair she wouldn't allow the day before. While we appreciated that she was working to keep the area under the leak dry, we told her she didn't have to worry about staying home to do that and to enjoy her vacation. She mentioned finding some ants in the toaster oven, but we never found any evidence of that. We had several phone conversations over the course of two days.
We always go the extra mile for our guests and I hope our many reviews at all of our properties paint that picture. We strive to give our guests the best experiences possible, to have the kindest most professional interactions, and to resolve maintenance issues just as quickly as we can once we discover them.
Wimberley is a fun place to stay with lots of great local activities. Here are some of our top recommendations. Enjoy!
In the summer, we recommend taking a dip at one of the local swimming holes. We’ll leave a list of area swimming holes in your rental, but Blue Hole is our favorite and its refreshing, spring-fed water is just 3 minutes away (reservations required). Jacob's Well (reservations required), The Blanco River (buy a swim pass at 7A Ranch), and Cypress Falls (buy a swim pass at Cypress Falls Event Center) are great choices as well. The Corral Theater is a great place to catch an outdoor movie on a Fri-Sun night. Bring a camp chair and enjoy the show! If you don’t mind driving over to San Marcos (20 min.), rent a tube from the Lion’s Club at City Park and tube the San Marcos River. You can tube 'the horseshoe' part of The Guadalupe River by renting tubes from The Tube Haus on FM 306 (20 min). The glass bottom boat rides at TX State’s Meadows Center are really wonderful for all ages and educational, too!
There are several area wineries with beautiful grounds: The Driftwood Estate Winery, The Wimberley Valley Winery, and The Duchman Family Winery (with the Italian restaurant, Trattoria Lisina). There is also Bella Vista Ranch, a local olive orchard and olive oil producer. Their grounds, shop, and tasting room are open Mon, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. If you’re looking for a wine tour, we hear good things about Jodie with Taste of the Hills at 512-667-0518.
Some of our other favorite activities include enjoying a beverage and watching the sun set at The Shady Llama Beer and Wine Garden, taking a hike up Old Baldy, going ziplining at Wimberley Ziplines, grabbing a yummy house-brewed pint at Middleton Brewing or Wimberley Brewing Company, taking a jog or walk along the hike and bike trail at Blue Hole Regional Park, catching some live music at Linda’s Fine Foods, or Ino’z and taking a morning or evening drive along The Devil’s Backbone (Hwy 32). We also love day trips to Pedernales Falls State Park (about 40 minutes away) or Luckenbach/Fredericksburg/Enchanted Rock (about 1/1.5 hrs away). Guests also ask about local hiking trails and San Marcos has several greenbelts that are great spots for hiking with the Purgatory Trail being a favorite in our house. Our local Blue Hole Park also has some lovely nature trails and a three mile hike and bike trail.
For dining, we highly recommend The Leaning Pear, Community Pizza (gluten-free and dairy-free options), or Jobell on RR12 just outside of the town center. Hays City Store is another good option about 10 minutes from Wimberley on FM 3237. The Salt Lick BBQ is a fantastic choice for that hill country BBQ experience, located about 15 minutes away in Driftwood. Trattoria Lisina is also in Driftwood and it’s a great for a special occasion dinner. It’s located on the grounds of the Duchman Family Winery & vineyard, which is beautiful. Other Wimberley restaurants include: Vittles (breakfast & lunch gourmet grilled cheeses, smoothies & salads), The Back Porch (good, casual outdoor dining on Cypress Creek), Brewster’s Pizza (gluten-free and dairy-free options), I’noz (average food, but nice setting on Cypress Creek & live music on weekend nights), Kate’s Place (good brunch spot), Linda’s Fine Foods and Wimberley Café (popular for breakfast). We also have a handful of great food trucks throughout Wimberley and our favorites are Pho-Lisha’s, Triforks, The Salty German and St. Pita’s. You can also pick up good breakfast tacos at Shamrock Tacos and Mima’s. We do our best to keep updated menus for these restaurants in a binder in each of our rentals.
