About Jane Jones
We've spent most of our working lives in Sydney but Fred surfed this area as a teenager! When the chance came up to buy into the area we took it. We love the bush - the native flora and fauna - and have put a lot of time into regeneration. We love the beaches - so long and wide, the water usually crystal clear! When we go on holidays we usually avoid the cities and head to the more remote or undeveloped areas - outback Australia, Pacific Islands like Samoa, last year Alaska.
Jane Jones purchased this House in 1992
Why Jane Jones chose Crescent Head
We bought this property because of its location. The undeveloped area and the beautiful beaches! The potential we saw in the block of land itself. When we purchased the block of land in 1992 it was still being farmed and was mostly just scrub. There were a lot of weeds - mostly bitou bush which was there as a result of the 'regeneration' program implemented after rutile mining back in the 70's. Twenty plus years later, thousands of trees and many hundreds of hours removing weeds and we are really happy with the progress - we can now even boast koalas at times! We wanted something as low key as possible - somewhere for people to have privacy, nature and the chance to enjoy the area as much as we do in comfort! We think we've achieved this! We hope you do too ....

Great house near a picturesque beach
9 of us stayed a week in this well equipped house.
The house is suited to families with small children as the large deck is gated, allowing kids to move safely between the inside and outside space. There’s a great playground and the nearby beach is unforgettable.
Loved our stay at Wallan Cottages.
Secluded but right there
Close to nearby cafe, Beach just across the road in walking distance. Big Hill Heads 1k down the Beach that was protected of the nasty southerly. Oh and did I mention the campfire right outside the house?
Our 2 families really enjoyed our stay. Thanks heaps
The area around Wallum cottages is one of the ever decreasing pockets of natural bushland left on the mid north coast. Sandwiched between Limeburners National Park and Goolawah Reserve it is low key with miles or beautiful beaches on our doorstep. Whether you want the surf, the fishing, the walking or just the relaxing Wallum can provide it for you.
Our aim is to provide a peaceful haven! Please - if you want a party - don't consider Wallum!
