A self-contained, South East Asian styled space in a pretty meadow surrounded by woodland and farmland. A double bedroom and a twin bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan kitchen and living space.

Ideally suited to two adults and two children, but many 4-adult parties have stayed and enjoyed the space.

Local walks, outdoor seating, pretty rural setting, yet only 2 miles from Exeter Cathedral, your own front door with dedicated parking. (For a maximum of 2 cars).

Set in lovely countryside, yet only 2 miles from Exeter Cathedral. Step out of your own dedicated front door into an idyllic setting of specimen trees in a meadow surrounded by woodland and farmland. The birdsong in our little woodland dip is simply magical.

One of only two self-contained properties on this picturesque rural site.

The self-contained cottage suite holds 3 beautifully presented areas comprising two bedrooms (1 double, one twin), an open plan living/kitchen area and a bathroom, with cute decor touches & characterful, quirky style...all in all it’s around 500 square feet.

The galley kitchenette area has a full oven, grill, 2 ring hob, slow cooker, soup maker, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière, fresh ground coffee, teas etc. There are hangers, drawers, plenty of free shelves, interesting books, local maps, toys, Lego, guide books, and good board games. Do just ask us for anything else you need!

3.1 miles to Sandy Park Rugby Stadium; 2.1 m to Exeter Cathedral; 2.2 miles to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital; 3.1 miles to University of Exeter. Sehr aufmerksame, freundliche, zuvorkommende und hilfsbereite Gastgeber!
Idyllisch ländliche Lage in Stadtnähe, ideal zum Entspannen und als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.

I'm a writer and academic and started making use of Vrbo recently as a break to get my writing done. It has been a wonderful experience so far - I've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity!
And now it’s my turn to give back. So far hosting has been great fun. We are equally delighted with the unobtrusive self check in as the guests who’d like to hear all about our beautiful part of the world and how to make the most of it.

Why they chose this property

We love the area and moved here after four years in Beijing as a rural spot to bring up our family. Exeter is lovely and the countryside is breathtaking. We live in Barton Cottage next to The Orient House, so we are on hand for any queries.

What makes this property unique

The Orient House is only 20 minutes by car to Dartmoor and the coast. Stunning countryside. Exeter is just minutes around the corner, including Exeter University, RD&E Hospital, the Met Office and all the restaurants, bars, museums and cafes downtown Exeter has to offer. Sports, ocean leisure and hiking and bike trails are all on the doorstep.
