2 bedroom self catering home base for touring Tasmania
Married with grown up girls and 2 grandsons. Live in Sydney. My mum and sister live in Tasmania and I get down regularly to visit. Also enjoy motorcycle riding and have had 3 tours of Tasmania with varying friends and brother. Perfect little house to stay at for fellow riders or Mum, Dad and the kids or 2 couples wanting to explore Tassie.
Marty purchased this House in 2015
Why Marty chose Turners Beach

Quaint cottage, great location
Our family complete with 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our Easter break at Cosy Country Feel Cottage. Though simple & not flashy, it met all our needs. I loved running on the beach with my dogs in the early morning and then being able to leave in them in the backyard whilst we explored Cradle Mountain, Gunns Plains Caves, Leven Canyon & Tasmazia. Our boys loved the open space to kick a footy and muck around on their scooters. Ample firewood & linen. We would most certainly return. Great communication from owner
Thanks for feedback Kelly. Glad you had a good time.
We had a lovely time very handy to several major tourists spots loved cradle mtn
Thanks for review Annette. Happy that you had a nice stay.
Comfortable and homy
Ideal for our last two days in Tassie after a great 2 week adventure. Easy 20 minute drive to catch the boat for a day sailing. House was great, plenty of room for the car & camper and the second car. Apart from no front fence would suit a family stay. Clean, neat and very friendly owner.
Thanks for the kind words David. Glad you enjoyed Tasmania. I now have a front fence by the way. Cheers.
Comfortable, retro, farm style cottage
My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
All the necessary household equipment was provided & furnishings were comfortable & cosy.
We loved the rural views - the picturesque dam & the cute Suffolk sheep added to the ambience of the property.
Proximity to other Northern towns & tourist attractions was also advantageous. Many thanks Marty!
You are more than welcome Wendy. Thanks for the review/feedback. Regards, Marty.
Great location - a perfect place to explore the northern part of Tasmania.
This was a very relaxed house with a great outlook into fields. It had most things you need and importantly for us was dog friendly. The garden was lovely to sit out in for the evening but could use some more outdoor seating. Inside we would suggest the addition of an iron. All other facilities were provided with fully stocked kitchen, washing machine and comfy beds. Everything easy to operate with friendly, helpful neighbours.
The location of this place is fantastic - we enjoyed a morning stroll to Turners Beach and then breakfast at the La Mer cafe (an excellent cafe - great coffee and delicious food as well as gifts/books you can buy). We also enjoyed evening strolls - friendly people and a very relaxed atmosphere.
You are short drive to either Devonport or Ulverstone. We did all our local supermarket shopping in Ulverstone as well as enjoyed some fab meals at Pier One. This restaurant is excellent. We went back a couple of times.
Location for day trips is perfect!
Really good value for money if you want something comfortable.
Thanks for your review. Never crossed my mind about having an ironing board. Would like to think people are too busy having a good time rather than doing a load of ironing. We do have dreams of knocking down the old shed and having an out door area looking out to the paddock. Another thing I realise I don't have is Doggy Poo Bags for my guests, with pets, so as they can pick up and bin after there little doings.
