Beautiful and peaceful retreat with stunning views
I stayed in Olivias retreat for the Weekend of the Coldplay concert and the house was perfect set in a beautiful hillside location with stunning views of the golfcourse and only a mile away from the Rosebowl! Olivia she was the perfect host and even dropped me off and picked me up from the concert which was wonderful and so thoughtful as I was travelling alone. I could not have wished for a more perfect location and only wish I had stayed there for longer! I would highly recommend this house and the location for either solo travellers or couples looking to get away from it all or have a romantic break..

Best VRBO Stay Ever
This was bar none my best VRBO visit ever. The apartment and surrounding gardens and pool were lovely, private, and sparkling clean. The location and views are spectacular. But the real reason this rental shines is the host Olivia, who couldn’t be any kinder or more helpful in making sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. This was particularly helpful given that my family was dealing with a difficult medical issue, which was the reason for our stay. It was like having a mom and best friend in Pasadena to help us through this tough time. Thanks and we will be back for sure. <3

Little paradise in the hills of Pasadena
We truly enjoyed this little oasis we called home for the month of July. The owner was lovely. She extended all the amenities we needed for our time there. We will return.

Shangra-la
The plantings around the house are beautiful and the bedrooms where we stayed were beautifully decorated. It The small kitchenette in one of the bedrooms is perfect for heating up food but cooking a full dinner from scratch is more challenging. The pool area and view are spectacular. Olivia, is friendly and very accommodating and quick to help us with any questions we had. We would go back again.

A tue sanctuary of peace and beauty
We could not have been more joyful than we were staying at Olivia’s beautiful and tranquil setting. The property is MORE luxurious than the description. Everything from the premises, decor, and landscape made us feel like we were in a private Villa in Tuscany. Olivia won my heart with generosity of spirit and kindness. Responsive to every need, but I must admit that she anticipated ALL of our needs. We felt safe and cared for. I can’t express our gratitude and thanks enough.

Why they chose this property

Born & raised in beautiful Pasadena, California. I am so very Blessed to call this house my home. Located in a very sought after area in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. Sometimes I pinch myself to make sure it is not a dream. I hear the sound of birds not the sound of cars. I do not have neighbors so close they can peer inside, that is except for maybe Ricky the raccoon. I look out onto one of the oldest private golf courses in So. Cal.. It is very common to see deer roaming about and especially wonderful when you see a new born doe. Casa de Olivia is nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling hills and lush hillsides. The drive up is similar to a tree lined country road in Europe, with the San Gabriel mountains as a backdrop.

What makes this property unique

Pasadena's weather is in a word, perfect. The average daily temperature is a beautiful 76 degrees making it the perfect place to visit year round. Of course summers are hotter and winter does not always provide swimming-comfortable weather, but in general it doesn't get much better than this.

Football fan or not, the Rose Bowl is without a doubt, the major event in Pasadena. Back in 1902, the very youth of California, the Tournament of Roses wanted to spice up their festival with a football game. The rise of interest in football prompted the construction of a grand stadium. The original was built to hold 57,000 people and Pasadena was its home. In 1923 the very first Rose Bowl took place here.
Centrally located to everything you would want on a vacation. You can go snow skiing and water skiing all in the same day. Certain times of the year Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead can still have snow while the temps at the beach can be beautiful for jet skiing.
