3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with spectacular ocean views only moments walk to beach
We currently live in the house because we love it here. However we plan to do some travelling so would love to share our house and our beautiful location with others.
Kerry purchased this House in 2013
Why Kerry chose Scarborough
We have lived here for 5 years and loved the area immediately. The natural beauty is the drawcard but the people around here are really casual, friendly and down to earth. We love it here and I know you will too.
What makes this House unique
The views are unique with both ocean and escarpment seen from most windows. The large alfresco area is difficult to get away from as you can really relax and enjoy the views with family and friends. The upstairs balcony is a private retreat and has the best views of both the ocean and the escarpment. The house was built with sustainability in mind. There is solar powered electricity and hot water. A large rain water tank provides water to toilets and the outdoors and gardens. The house has a stone fireplace in its centre which acts as a solar mass. This helps to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The louvre windows, large void and fans in all rooms also add to the temperture regulatory aspect of the house.

Very lovely stay
The house was very lovely, it had everything it said it would. Would Highly recommend
A couple of downsides... the tap in master shower was broken and back door wouldn't unlock. Just a few things that need to be fixed up but all in all it was a lovely home
Wonderful house, beautiful view
Lovely modern, clean and comfortable house. Amazing outdoor living areas. Very clear and easy communication with host. Thank you!
Thank you Georgie, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous home and views!
Kerry's home is amazing! So beautiful and clean with water views. As a big family we felt there was so much space. We loved this place so much and didn't want to leave. The photos don't do this place justice. Everything is so well styled and Kerry has all the amenities you could think of. At night the sound of the ocean is soothing and during the day the views are breathtaking.
Kerry seems like such a lovely lady who responds quickly to enquiries.
Thank you for a wonderful stay Kerry!
Thank you Lisa. I’m so pleased you enjoyed it!! 😀
Our house is in an amazing part of the world. A short 3 minute walk through beautiful bushland lands you right on the stunning sands of Scarborough /Wombarra Beach. The beach is patrolled daily but is quite safe.
There is a natural rockpool and rock platform on the northern end of the beach that offers great snorkelling and fishing. Brilliant for little children! It is rarely crowded and you will often find yourself there alone.
At low tide you can easily walk to more secluded beaches that make you feel like you could be on a deserted island. However I have never seen our beach crowded as it is the local's treasured secret!
There is a 50m ocean pool on the southern end of the beach that is great for morning laps or just floating about staring up at the spectacular escarpment. This pool also has a toddler's pool.
At low tide you can walk from the southern end of the beach along rock platforms to Coledale Beach which is also patrolled. Along the way go for a dip in the natural rock pools. Continue walking to the iconic Austinmer and Thirroul beaches. Werong Beach is the naturist beach only a 10 minute drive north.
Beaches aren't all that's available and accessible here. There are many scenic walks including The Grand Pacific Walk, The Seacliffe Bridge Walk, Sublime Point Lookout and many more. Along the way you can spot wallabies and other mammals, lizards and a huge variety of birds.
If you're not keen on animals in their natural habitat then drive 10 minutes north to Helensburgh and visit the Symbio Zoo. This Zoo exhibits a wide range of native and exotic animals. It also has educational shows, a pool and picnic facilities. This is where you can pat and feed the kangaroos and have your photo taken with a cuddly koala.
The famous Bald Hill Lookout at Stanwell Tops is a 10 minute drive north. Here you can taken a spectacular selfie looking all the way down the south coast to Wollongong.
The Royal National Park is only a 10 minute drive to its southern entry. It has a multitude of activities for all age groups and offers picnicking, swimming, surfing, boating, trekking, camping, sight seeing and walking.
Horse riding is available at Otford which is a 10 minute drive north.
Thirroul is the biggest village nearby, just 10 minutes drive away and has a theatre (Anita's) that hosts a range of entertainment options. There are also 2 hotels that often provide live music. Shopping here is great with quirky gift shops, supermarkets, surf shops and more.
If you don't want to cook, you have come to the right place as there are a great variety of cafes and restaurants here. Dining is casual, friendly, fresh and eclectic with finer dining options as well.
We've got it all here!!!
