Residence Ada is actually half of Casa Segromigno, a lovely old villa in the countryside just outside Lucca. It\'s been fully renovated with all the modern conveniences, including air conditioning throughout. The traditional two story house is very large, and has been divided into two separate apartments (the other is Residence Michele) or can be rented in its entirity (see Casa Segromigno). Built on a slope, it looks out on a beautiful panorama of woodlands, a lovely and large swimming pool, as well as the garden with BBQ, tables, chairs, sun umbrella, and a patio for al fresco dining. Within easy walking (just 1 km) is the small village of Segromigno where you will find a post office, bank, pharmacy, grocery shops, restaurants and bars. The city of Lucca, just 8 kms away, has a rich history and attracts tourists from around the world. The three mile series of ramparts, complete with eleven bastions and four gateways was erected around the city for protection in the 16th and 17th centuries. This wonderful city offers a beautiful cathedral, antique market, shops, restaurants, and many piazzas.
