Rusty Blue is a family vacation home handed from one generation to the next, named Rusty Blue after the owner’s sparkly blue eyes and for his laid back, carefree and loving personality . The home recently remodeled with new kitchen and bathrooms, dressed with new furniture, linens, and housewares. We invite you to stay and enjoy this year round tropical retreat. Unwind after an adventurous tour day, listen to the birds tweet and feel the fresh breeze blow through the home.

The first level of the home is bright, has an open floor plan, and features a living room with an adjoining terrace, dining room, kitchen, full bathroom, and a covered front and back porch perfect for morning coffee and chats. Lay in your hammock, have a BBQ or watch your family play games or pick mangoes in the generous back yard. There are plenty of tropical fruit trees to enjoy, a variation of mangoes, coconuts, lime, and sour sop… help yourself.

The second level has two air-conditioned bedroom with a Jack and Jill half-bath. The master bedroom is furnished with two queen beds, wraparound balcony access overlooking the warm and friendly village. The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds and two twin trundles accommodating perfect for 8 guests plus 2 additional twin beds and one queen air mattress will be set up for additional guest for a total of 12 guests.

- Starter coffee, cream, and sugar is provided
- We have an attached studio Cottage that can accommodate up to 4 additional guests for larger groups. This space is rented separately.

Help Us Conserve Energy, which in return allows us to keep the daily rate at a comfortable price for everyone to enjoy. Please Turn-Off all Lights and A/C when not in bedrooms. If left on, you're automatically allowing our host to enter to turn-off. We appreciate your cooperation.

Perfect airport stop

We stayed at rustic blue after an awesome week in Belize so we could have a quick trip to the airport in the morning. The spot is exactly as described, very comfortable and clean. The 4 stars on location was that it was a bit tricky to find. Our GPS did not take us to the correct spot and we got a bit turned around. That being said, I messaged the host and she responded almost immediately and was able to drop us the house pin and we got there in just a couple minutes. My only suggestion would be to maybe send that with check in notes in case that were to happen to any other guests - GPS can sometimes be unreliable. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Nice for the neighborhood

The owner is very nice and provides plenty of information. This property is clean and well kept. Many houses in the neighborhood have bars on the windows. This house is the best on the street. Nothing in walking distance. Watch out - I found a brown recluse spider on the first floor.

Great location near the airport for our last night in Belize

The property was well-maintained and clean. The host was accommodating and made sure all of our needs were met. I would recommend this rental property to anyone looking for a peaceful stay near the airport.

Peaceful and informative

I was looking for a place to stay without going into the city at a hotel and this property was perfect. Without being in the city, we had easy access to head to AltunHa, Xunantunich, Cave tubing/Zip-lining and a day out to the Keys. Melissa was very accommodating and informative with all the local restaurants and shopping; most within walking distance. My sons enjoyed the peaceful culture and rich history Belize had to offer as 1 celebrated his 21st Bday and for other this was his history education adventure. I enjoyed the simple, innocent and friendly neighborhood that surrounded the property. It reminded me of my childhood where kids still innocently played in the streets. Thanks for the memories.
