Mere Superlatives Aren’t Enough
We stayed at this wonderful villa for the month of September. Our stay could not have been better - the hosts were wonderful, Vent Vert and the amazing views were even better than the pictures (which are pretty darn enticing), and the surrounding towns and villages made day trips easy and fun. It was always a difficult decision whether to stay home and enjoy the luxury of the outdoor spaces and pool (and of course the views) or to jump on the train at the bottom of “our” hill and ride to San Remo, Monte Carlo, Antibes, Cannes, Nice, etc., etc. In looking for a place to stay we studied over 50 properties in four countries and landed on Vent Vert - and our stay was perfect. We will return.
This property is one of the best we have ever rented.
It has two large and one small bedrooms, each with dedicated bath (one larger than the others), an excellent, well-appointed kitchen (well-stocked with the basics—and more), and a full range of modern appurtenances. But the real glory of the property is the deck with its spectacular view (including infinity pool, endless ocean vistas, red rock coves and comfortable furnishings).
The owners live on the floor above, but they will be precisely as involved and available as you wish. Outstanding.
This was our second visit to this wonderful property. We enjoyed everything about it once again such that we reserved it for next year. We have rented many properties in the past and this is by far the best. Fully complete kitchen and the entire facility has everything you could ask for.
The owners, Jenni and Bill are not only very nice people, they bend over backwards to make sure your visit is enjoyable.
It does not get better than this!!
A bit of Heaven on Earth in the South of France
We three couples arrived at Villa Vent Vert from Canada and were greeted not only by our fantastic hosts, Bill and Jenni, but by a full compliment of food and drink to tide us over after a rather long day in airports and planes. Ad to this the breathtaking scenery and accommodations that were absolutely stunning and we knew we were in for wonderful 3 week stay.
Bill and Jenni were always available to answer any questions we had and went the extra yard to make us feel at home. We jokingly noted that although the kitchen was stocked with every high end apparatus for cooking ever made that there was no 'salad spinner" to be found. Two days later the Lamborghini of salad spinners arrived.
The heated infinity pool was spotless and offered spectacular vistas of the coast. We routinely used the terrace area to wind down after our day trips and that was made even easier due to the selection of lounges , tables and chairs situated in places to accommodate everyone's preference.
The villa is ideally situated for brisk walks or day trips along the coast either by train or car. We occasionally prepared our meals on the spotless Weber grill but most days ate out at the many restaurants available within short driving distances.
We would recommend the Villa and it's hosts to anyone looking to vacation in a 5 star villa with 6 star hosts
A truly excellent experience! Thank you.
We have stayed in many villas and apartments over the years and this was right up there with the best. Bill, Jenni and Lidia welcomed the six of us on arrival and were on hand to help (once!) when we had a problem (couldn't work out how to fire up the barbecue!) but otherwise we didn't see them at all for the whole week.
The property has the most spectacular views with lots of boats large and small on the beautiful Mediterranean. The accommodation was excellent: it was very well equipped and everything was clean and in good condition.
Outside there are plenty of different seating options with two sets of loungers and a choice of tables for meals. The pool was warm enough even for me and although not enormous it is a proper swimming pool, rather than a plunge pool.
A car is, I think, essential. Although it would be possible to walk down to the beach and to the local restaurants it's probably too far for all but the most hearty. You get the view because of the elevation of the property.
The local area (within a couple of Km) has a small shop (bread, UK Papers, basic food stuffs etc.) and also a very nice restaurant (Panama) as well as water-sports facilities (kayaks, paddle boards, sailing boats and pedalos, as well as a fleet of jet-skis all of which can be rented).
Further afield there is a superbly equipped hypermarket in La Napoule (20 minutes) which also has a couple of very good restaurants on the marina.
The area above the estate is a national park and we had a couple of quite strenuous walks in beautiful scenery. All-in-all I can't recommend this place enough. I would avoid Cannes; St Raphael and Frejus were much less frenetic!
Beach, marina (possibility of boat rental), very good dining in nearby restaurants on the corniche, tennis, golf, mountain hiking/biking/horseback-riding/fishing, glitz and night life of Cannes (20 min by car)...in fact, any conceivable outdoor activity.
Other good restaurants include Chez Philippe and Marco Polo in neighbouring Theoule-s-Mer (10 min. by car), and Oasis in La Napoule, a Michelin*** event. (12 min. by car).
