About this property

Casa Esperanza SJDS - Your Casa in San Juan del Sur
Located in the La Talanguera area of San Juan del Sur, our Casa is a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a 15 minute walk to the action in town. The lower level has a large patio with solar shades to block the afternoon sun, lots of comfortable seating, a hammock and a BBQ. Just down the stairs from the patio is the plunge pool (shared with 4 other condos.) The upstairs balcony has a great view of the surrounding landscape, including the main beach in front of town and has two glider rockers on it with ottomans. This balcony is accessible from both bedrooms.
Our air-conditioned, two-story condo has two bedrooms upstairs, both with their own bathrooms with showers, and both with access to the upstairs balcony views. Downstairs is a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and living room with HIgh Speed Fibre internet and Netflix, as well as a 2 piece bathroom. The entire condo unit is yours to enjoy. There are 4 other condos in our complex, and the plunge pool as well as the laundry facilities are shared. The parking lot gates are kept closed at night, and there is a security guard on duty 24/7.

While we allow children, please note that there are open stairways as well as NO fence around the pool. You are responsible for their safety!

I'm a professional accountant from the South Western area of Ontario, Canada. My wife and i purchased this property in 2018 after enjoying our visits to the San Juan del Sur area in Nicaragua. When we are not staying at the property ourselves, we offer it for rent to other interested travelers.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property for us, it is a perfect location. The plunge pool is always available for a quick dip when we want to cool off, and the beautiful sandy beach of Playa San Juan del Sur is only a 3 block walk away. A further 10 minute walk along the beach takes you into town, where most of the restaurants, bars and action take place. We typically walk into town during the day, and also walk back if we are returning in daylight. In evenings, we often just take a taxi back to our unit. Taxis are plentiful and readily available in town. Our unit is also a short walk to the Christ of Mercy statue, which you can access on foot, or you can take a taxi most of the way up. From that vantage point, you have an amazing view of all of San Juan del Sur and the beach and bay!

What makes this property unique

Our unit is a great place for 6 people to stay. We purposely have put two double beds in one bedroom, in order that we can accommodate 6 people. The master bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom and air conditioning, as well as access to the second floor balcony, which provides views of the main beach in town as well as the mountainside where the Christ of Mercy statue is located. The unit is constantly updated, recently with new living room furniture and solar shades for the patio! The solar shades block the heat from the afternoon sun, while letting the light in. There is a security guard on duty 24/7, onsite parking is available, and it is a quiet place, as there are only 5 units in total in the complex. We are happy to now offer High Speed Fibre internet service as well.
