Misleading advertising and poor value for money

Expensive for a run down property. Downstairs bedroom advertised as queen bed. It was a double so one of us slept on the couch. The room smelled bad. Concrete floor with rug. No lightbulbs in bedside lamps. The cord from one of the lamps doesn’t reach the plug so is unusable. Lounge does not seat 6 people. Unacceptable for our holiday. The sofa is grubby and needs a clean. 3 teaspoons. 1 small plastic platter. Filthy windows and doors.

Great potential, big disappointment

(Jan 2021) Good location - about a 20 min walk down to main beach and the excellent Sandbar Restaurant. It’s next to the 4WD entrance for the beach so can get a bit noisy in the early morning. It’s worth noting that you’ll be staying in the property on the right of this photo, not the middle property so views are limited and the balcony isn’t as big. The master bedroom (upstairs) is spacious and having it split level (2 bedrooms downstairs) can be handy for putting the kids to bed. We were able to all sleep together downstairs which was good as we only have 1 child and it would be a bit too quiet for them on their own. It has a garage with electric door roller door which was really handy. That’s where the positives end unfortunately. The property is in dire need of a deep clean and serious maintenance. Whilst counter tops, sinks and the toilet were clean that was all. We had rusty bedside furniture and lights, dusty ceiling fans, dirty windows, blinds, fly screens and sills, dirty bathroom drawer handles & toilet roll holders, lights that didn’t work (some rusty), dirty aircon unit, rusty outdoor furniture, dirty cushions, dirty shower screens, worn carpets. Most positive reviews seem to be from 2018 so I’d be looking for confirmation that it’s had some work done on it before staying any time soon. It was such a shame as with a bit of love it could really live up to the photos.
