About Suzanne Denton
Proud mum of 5 and grandmother of 4. It is an absolute pleasure to showcase this magnificent property and host guests from all over the world. To see people's faces light up when they walk in always gives me great pleasure. It is the little things in life and my favourite saying "the best things in life are free", is certainly showcased here with the birds singing in the trees and the kangaroos in the paddock. It is always a calming moment to be back in touch with nature.

Why Suzanne Denton chose River Heads
We live and breathe the property. The farm has been transformed to welcome guests from all over the world. Because we have free range kangaroos here, it is a real treat to hear overseas guests marvel at seeing them beside their camp site. Some people have traveled all over Australia and coming here is the first time they have seen them in the wild. We also have Peter Rabbit and his family living in the top paddock. He came and visited the office the other day, so I put a you tube clip of him up. I also put up a you tube clip of a bird that came and said hello at the office window. It is a special place here, with so much wildlife around, and getting in touch with nature can have a very calming effect on the body and soul. It gives us great pleasure to see the guests enjoying first time experiences at our property. Mango Lodge is the crown jewel of our Australian themed Park and we are looking forward to hosting many overseas guests and bring them in touch with the pioneering spirit. We believe that the best things in life are free, and here you can experience exactly that. We do have good phone reception, but that is about as luxurious as it gets, oh and beside the 2 TVs and the antique radio.
What makes this Cabin unique
The lodge took 12 months to build and many hours of sourcing specific items to enhance your stay, like the antique dressing table with the antique vase and the antique working radio. The 150 year old wood stove is very unique and even antique crockery. The timber furniture has been hand crafted from pieces of timber around the property. Even the towel rail is made from timber around the property. The deep open-air claw foot bath is the most favourite part of our guests stay.

Just up the road is the River Heads Shopping Village with a good grocery store, IGA, a real estate, a booking office for tours to Fraser Island and Kingfisher Resort, a chemist and a lovely cafe overlooking the Mary and Susan River called VK's. The boat ramp is just 3kms up the road and from there you can launch your boat and go fishing in the Great Sandy Strait or fish from the solar powered pontoon at night to bring in a feed of squid. Also catch the ferry to Fraser Island and enjoy spectacular sunsets at the Sunset Bar with beer and prawns and the dingo's come up and say hello. Visit Hervey Bay where there are many things to do, cafe's, hotels, clubs, restaurants, golf, bowling, movies, whale watching, go karting, markets, water park, pool, beaches, boat harbour, bike rides, parks, and a fabulous museum. The local club in River Heads has dinner every Friday night and Karaoke every 3rd Friday of the month. A great little secret is the walk way path that meanders through the old rainforest growth to the right of the boat ramp. Great fishing location with many species of fish being caught. You can hire your own tinny for $45 per hour and explore the water ways, look for crocodile tracks or bring in a Barramundi
