Sleeps 1-3 in this beachside cabin for a perfect peaceful getaway
About Thomas Janssen
I have been coming to Wellfleet my whole life as a renter and now live here full time in retirement. I am actively involved in the community as a docent at the Historical Society and avid walker, theater-goer and general Cape enthusiast.
Thomas Janssen purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Thomas Janssen chose Indian Neck Heights
This is my favorite area of Wellfleet. The beach is on the bayside, which means it's virtually a private beach for the people who live nearby - it's a hidden gem. Wake up, grab your stuff and walk 5min to the beach and just camp out in the most peaceful place on earth.

Great Indian Neck Hideaway
This little cottage is a real gem. Walking distance to Hiawatha Beach and the marsh. Cozy and comfortable!
Charming cottage, well equipped. Good location near town & a semi-private beach. Host helpful & very willing to answer questions!
Beautiful spot--cozy cottage--nice for pups
This is not the most fancy house for rent, but it is quite cozy and pleasant, and a good value for Outer Cape. The cottage is well equipped. Tom, the owner is friendly and responsive., and put in an air-conditioner downstairs when he saw the heatwave coming. The upstairs cooled off in the evening with the many fans he provided. It's right by Bay beaches and near to Wellfleet, the best French bakery on the planet, the Cape Cod bike trail and ocean beaches and ponds. It's a good bet.
Cozy and quiet
We had a lovely time. Host was very accommodating and pleasant. Slept well with the quiet setting, and woke to birds singing every morning. Convenient location.... Great for our little dog, too!
Would not stay again
Loved the proximity to the local beach. As campers we were looking to upgrade a bit and I guess we did just that. Beds were uncomfortable. We are used to bugs but by the second day we were swarmed with ants. Bathroom was roomy and kitchen well stocked but ants kept us from our plans of cooking in. Grill and charcoal were provided but the grate had to be scrubbed for 1/2 hour before it was usable. Nothing could keep us from enjoying the Cape but for the first time we were excited to head home.
So happy you were able to make it home safely.
Loved this place! It was quiet, relaxing, and the quick walk to the beach made it even better. The house was clean and the owner was very accommodating. I hope to go back next year!
