It's all about the ocean views!
This 2150 square foot, two-level island penthouse is on the third and fourth floors of a four-story building, and has five spacious, private balconies. You'll have bird's eye, panoramic views of the Mesoamerican barrier reef and the lush Belizean jungle from the highest point in the quiet, peaceful resort.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The fourth-floor master suite has a vaulted ceiling, a large en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, and a separate office space with its own ocean view. The three adjoining master balconies have comfortable outdoor chairs, a dining area, and views in every direction.
The second and third bedrooms are on the first floor of the condo unit (third floor of the building). Each room has a comfortable king-sized bed, a large en-suite bathroom, balcony access and breath-taking ocean views. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner for individual temperature control.
There's an open-concept kitchen/dining/living area, with ten-foot ceilings and spectacular ocean views. The nicely-equipped kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, and plenty of cooking basics. The huge mahogany dining table is perfect for family meals, card games and group gatherings. The futon sofa in the living room folds down into a comfortable bed for the kids or extra guests.
The oceanfront main level balcony has comfortable Adirondack chairs, a lounger, and a second outdoor dining set, where you can have coffee at sunrise or sip your favorite beverage under the moon. The back balcony is covered and private.
This vacation rental overlooks a white-sand beach, and the second-largest barrier reef in the world. One of the best dive spots on the island, Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve, is nearby. You can take out a kayak or paddle board, and snorkel on your own in front of the resort.
Alternatively, you can explore the reef with a PADI-certified dive shop, which will pick you up at the dock just outside the rental. The tour shop can take you diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and sailing. Or, they can take you to the mainland to see the Mayan ruins, or go cave-tubing, zip-lining, or horseback riding. You can swim with tame nurse sharks and rays, watch parrot fish nibble on coral, or dive the famous Blue Hole. You can even boat through the channel that separates this Belizean island from Mexico, and look for manatees!
You’ll see sting rays, sea turtles, starfish, dolphins and other marine life, right in the “front yard.” There are tropical birds, fun iguanas, and other exotic wildlife nearby. You can walk the secluded beach, collecting conch shells and sea beans to take home.
When you’re ready to socialize you’ll meet like-minded adventurers from all over the world at the resort’s fun pool-side tiki bar. The on-site restaurant, Gem, makes everything from five-star meals to indulgent bar snacks and comfort food. They will serve at the pool, or deliver to your room. Their pizza is delicious!
The resort amenities include complementary kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, and snorkel gear. There are three small pools, perfect for lounging with a fruity umbrella drink.
There are indoor and outdoor games, as well as DVDs and books. There is free wifi in the condo unit, and on the resort grounds. We have an Amazon Firestick for streaming movies and news, and there is a DVD player.
This rental is about a 30-minute golf cart ride from San Pedro Town, where you can do your shopping and hunt for souvenirs. Along the way, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and attractions to see. There is even a casino at one of the resorts to the south. Yes, the road North is rustic and, in places, bumpy, but that's half the fun! Stop along the way for drinks or a snack, and you'll appreciate the adventure that much more.
There are endless things to do. You can float in inner tubes at bars, swim in the crystal clear waters of Secret Beach, explore the jungle or drive a golf cart north along the beach until you reach the spot where the reef meets the land.
I truly believe that the salt air, sun and beautiful breeze will make you fall in love with Belize!
