Views, views, views! From the city to the harbour, we love to sit on our balcony and watch the kayakers, the sail boats, and even the occasional whale, all with the stunning back drop of the city skyline of Sydney. On New Years Eve you can even watch the fireworks without having to leave home.
The peace and quiet. Our home is double fronted, so has access to two cul-de-sacs. This means that, not only is it relatively safe for the children to play in the locality, but we encounter virtually no traffic noise. We enjoy the sound of the birds and not much else.
Although it sometimes feels we are miles from anywhere, with our amazing views up high on the plateau, we are a five minute walk to Clontarf, a beautiful harbourside beach with a great childrens playground, two cafes, and BBQ facilities. Were a ten minute walk to our local shops with a village like atmosphere: they include two delicatessens (with cafes attached), a small supermarket, a homewares shop, a hairdressers, a beauty salon, a chemist, a post office, a bakery and a newsagent. Were also a five minute drive from Manly with all its amazing shops and restaurants, 15 minutes from a large shopping mall and 20 minutes from Sydney city centre.
Theres lots for the kids (and adults) to do without even leaving the house; from playing in the treehouse, jumping on the trampoline, shooting a few hoops, challenging each other to table tennis and scoring some soccer goals, to swimming in our gorgeous swimming pool, exercising on the rowing machine or just chilling out reading a book, playing the x-box or watching TV. We have access to some spectacular local bush walks. For those wanting some exercise, walking through the Sydney bush land, surrounded by nature at its finest, and the amazing harbour, is not to be missed.
