Amazing house for a group

We had 4 couples stay here over the New Year (2023). This house is perfect 4 bedroom and a beautiful kitchen living area for eating and hanging out. The hot tub and sauna were an added bonus to use after a great day skiing on the hill. The house is so conveniently located and we used the Mountaineer shuttle to get around during the storm. Some even walked to resort chair which was not far away. I highly recommend staying here and Rosalie is an impeccable host!!

As advertised but better in some ways

Wonderful house, convenient location, well stocked home. Importantly, very clean and comfortable. What made it better was the communication with the owners when we had any issue or question. Rosalie made herself so available it felt like concierge service. Thank you for that. My only complaint was the dryer that melted a few of our jacket zippers when we placed it in to dry. We just stopped using it unless we absolutely needed something washed and dried. Overall, id recommend this to anyone. Thank you for allowing us to stay here!

Great Weekend Stay

We had a great experience renting this home. The location was very nice, on a quiet street where you can take walks along the trail, very close to groceries and food, and short drive to Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Accessing the house was really easy using the garage keypad. The house was really nice, clean and well furnished, nice bedding, lots of small touches that made the stay more comfortable. The kids loved the pinball machines and fooseball table upstairs in the open loft, and the adults loved the hot tub and outdoor sauna. Keep in mind, there is no AC and some windows we couldn’t leave open since they didn’t have screens and we didn’t want mosquitos to come in so it did get a bit hot. The only glitches were the cooking vent in the center island and the clothes dryer wasn’t working. We had a great weekend and would definitely love to stay here again.

Awesome Palisades Home

First, Rosalie and Dan are amazing hosts. They were very communicative and responsive before and during our stay. We visited with an extended family of all ages and this home was spacious and accommodating. The house is super close to Palisades and definitely the most well equipped home we've stayed at. We look forward to visiting here again. Thank you, Rosalie and Dan!

Insanely awesome place!

Woah. Just came here with a group of old buddies to ski and we had SUCH a comfortable stay. This place has a great feel. The downstairs is nice and open and the master is gorgeous. Beds has nice linens and everything was well stocked. We used the hot tub a ton. Little creek running through the backyard was serene. The host was super friendly. We hope the be back!

Great Home in Olympic Valley

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Olympic Valley. The downstairs living room and kitchen is really well laid out for a large group and the kitchen table expands to seat 12. There is a game area upstairs with a tv which was perfect for our kids. It snowed while we were there are the kids played in the yard for hours. The house is very close to Palisades, less than a five minute drive, which was so convenient. We would definitely come back to this home. The hosts are very kind an accommodating. They made our trip easy!

Amazing Ski Stay

We had a large group of 11 people and had a fantastic time renting at 410 Indian Trail. The property is just minutes from Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows which made it a breeze to get to both mountains early to beat the crowds. The kitchen's 2 dish washers were great for our group dinners and the kitchen was fully stocked with enough dishware, glassware, and silverware to facilitate our group. Everything in the home was spotless and the amenities were amazing. The sauna, hot tub, and fireplace were all enjoyed after long days of skiing the mountains. Highly recommend staying here with large groups due to proximity to the mountain and the high level of amenities available in the home and on the property. Rosalie was a pleasure to communicate with anytime there was something we needed or had questions about.

LOVE this home!

We decided to not rent for our family vacation in Lake Tahoe but to try something new. Squaw Valley is so close to Tahoe its 10 minutes to Tahoe City and right by the Truckee River. But...so much more quiet like the way Tahoe use to be!! Morning walks to coffee, sitting on the deck in the evening after a full day of fun at Tahoe. This home is more than 5 stars! Super clean, very well stocked (the best we've ever rented). All the cooking items you need and plenty of towels for our group. Very comfortable beds! The owners are the best too. Very quick to respond with any questions. Very accommodating. Last minute my we hosted a small family dinner celebrating my son's elopement and Rosalee was so kind to allow us to do it. We were able to have happy hour on the deck, dine inside and have a few dances on the lower deck. This is the perfect vacation rental!

Fantastic Family Winter Retreat

We had the best time in Tahoe for Spring Break. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. Your house is beautiful. The layout is perfect, the construction is amazing, the finishes are top notch, the furniture is super comfortable, the decorations are lovely and the beds are comfortable. When we walked in your home, the kids' eyes lit up with excitement. They were so excited to see the grand fireplace, hot tub and the pinball machines. They had the best time playing in the backyard making snowballs after a long day of skiing. I loved waking up and drinking my coffee and watching the river. It doesn't get more peaceful than that. We enjoyed the evenings by the fireplace and playing board games. It was a perfect family vacation. Thank you for making it so special. Thank you for being available and so engaged with us. That really means a lot to us and you can tell how much you care about your house. We look forward to staying in your house in the future. Thank you again for everything.

This is THE place to stay in Tahoe

Rosalie and Dan were amazing hosts. They went well out of there way to take excellent care of us during our stay. They were fast to respond to requests, and extended their generosity several times as we setup a rental agreement. We were all blown away by the home, proximity to the ski resorts, and amenities. We would happily stay here again.

Fantastic house for a ski vacation

This house was perfect for our ski vacation. Check in was super easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. There owner was very responsive throughout the process and was available immediately when I called with a couple questions. The house had everything we could possibly need being two families with 7 small children between us and the grandparents. The decorated Xmas tree and lights was a nice added touch making the house feel extra festive and cozy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a winter vacation close to Squaw ( and Alpine). We will definitely be back!

Perfect ski week!

We just spent an amazing time at Rosalie's cabin for our kids' ski week. The cabin is spacious and comfortable for more than 1 family to share, with enough cozy places for everyone to relax after skiing. The kids loved playing foosball and the pinball machines. The owner's have thought of everything, down to flip flops and a heated walkway to get to the hot tub on a snowy night. And of course it's conveniently located close to Squaw for skiing. We used the Mountaineer free shuttle which picked us up at the cabin every morning. A great way to spend ski week! We will definitely come here again.

Incredible Shred Palace at Squaw Valley

Amazing host and super flexible with check in / out times that enabled us to have 2 extra days on the mountain. The house was beautiful, the hot tub was bubbling, and the snow was dumping. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend at Squaw and I'd 100% stay at this house again in the future.

Clean and cozy luxury home in great location

I was instantly impressed the moment I inquired about the property. The host, Rosalie was very responsive and already made me feel welcome. When we arrived at the property, everyone was in awe at how big the house was. It was very clean and cozy and it instantly felt like home. The house is also child friendly. My kids absolutely loved the pinball machines and the ample board games. They actually didn't want to leave and asked if we can live there. We all had a great time and will definitely rent this property again.

A dream home in a perfect location

The write up and photos for this home are accurate, but they can't possibly do it justice. The owners clearly were creating their dream house when they built it, and their planning and effort shows everywhere you look. It's beautiful but functional, magnificent but cozy, modern but homey. Plus they've done a great job of anticipating your needs and questions, so it's very easy to enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer. And the proximity to Squaw and Alpine Meadows made our ski days hassle free. We had a wonderful time here, and would recommend this fabulous property to any group, whether families or all adults. You won't be disappointed!

About the host

Hosted by Rosalie & Dan Cornew

Host profile image
We are an active family with 4 older kids and love being outdoors enjoying all the activities Tahoe has to offer in every season. You will find us skiing down the mountains or water skiing across the lake. Dan loves to mountain bike with the kids while Rosalie prefers to hike or bike on the famous Tahoe-Sunnyside-Squaw bike path that is over 20 miles long. Our photo was taken on a rare 4th of July when we skied on snow and water on the same day!

Why they chose this property

We built this house in 2008 for our large boisterous family. Its open floor plan was designed for easy entertaining of large groups but yet also offers many private spaces to rest and relax. The house is outfitted with high quality furniture, luxurious bedding and a gourmet kitchen for comfortable living in a contemporary mountain decor.

The location offers something very unique for Squaw Valley: a serene/natural setting with very easy flat access year round, and just a mile from Squaw Village ski resort.

The location is also ideal for active groups who want to do different activities and not depend on cars. The early skiers can take the shuttle to the ski slopes while the little ones go snowshoeing to the Squaw meadow from the house. Tired adults can drive home after a full day while teenagers can be the last ones off the mountain and shuttle home. The golfers can catch the first Tee Time while the rest of the group goes for a bike ride or walk to the village to enjoy the many shops and restaurants in Squaw Village.
