Lovely Property but Some Admin Issues
It's a really lovely home, very big and spacious, however there were a couple of issues on the admin side of things.
Firstly, when we went to pick up the keys, our deposit box didn't work, and one of the staff members who was in her car seemingly ready to go somewhere had to help us and we figured out the code we were given was wrong. If she had left, we may have been really stuck.
When we arrived, there was a broken sink, so someone was called out to fix it. This wasn't a problem, but we were never informed someone was coming, so it was quite a shock and we werent sure who he was at first. Sink was fixed quickly though.
Otherwise though, a very clean and spacious area for a nice weekend away. Close by to victor central, so you can walk to the beach/shops. Would go again.
We came down with our 3 children and they absolutely loved it! Victor Harbor had beautiful weather and we loved the Saturday morning farmers market.
We were having a very good experience w Unwind holiday. The unit was absolutely beautiful and comfy. Strongly recommended!
Perfect netball getaway
We hired both blocks and we had a blast. Our netball loved staying there. It was spacious and clean.
We had a lovely holiday at the Block, fantastic week and the apartment was great, perfect location. We even made friends with the other guests!
Very dissapointed with Stayz
Terrible management by the Unwind group. We had a group of us there using three of the apartments. The location and facilities were quite good however we encountered the following problems:
Hot water in apartment 8 did not work. I spent all day Saturday calling (no less than 6 calls) the maintenance man and having him 'reset the booster' which did not work. Turns out he was resetting the wrong booster but when he eventually go the correct one, it still didn't work.
Television in apartment 8 had one channel working.
Floor in apartment 8 was very sticky in main area and hadn't been cleaned.
Television in apartment 6 wouldn't get any channels at all. Gas bottle was empty in BBQ as well.
BBQ in Block 5 (penthouse) wouldn't work.
Made no less than 6 phone calls on the Saturday to get the hot water fixed, it couldn't be achieved. In the end on the Sunday we had to get the vacant apartment 1 opened so we could have a warm shower.
I informed Unwind@unwindholidays.com.au of the issue and told them I didn't believe we got our value for money due to the issues. They did not respond at all. I telephoned them a week later and asked for some follow up. I was told that the comments had been passed to the Manager who would contact me by the following Monday. It has now been a fortnight and no response has been received.
I would suggest avoiding this place and selecting one of the many other accommodations managed by people that actually care about there reviews and customer feedback.
I had indicated to unwind that I would allow them to respond before providing feedback online but as mentioned, no response has been received.
