This Kuratau bach includes simple and cosy open plan living in the main house, including a fireplace for winter getaways... For laid back summer living, set yourself up on the deck and take in the bush and lake scenery!

There are 2 bedrooms in the main house at this Kuratau accommodation, plus 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a double bed, while bedroom 2 has 2 singles. The sleepout is located above the garage, and is fitted with a queen bed and a double bed.

This is the perfect spot for a casual kiwi Lake Taupo escape, just a 50 metre stroll to the lakes edge. Chill out on the deck, walk along the beach, or head out for days on the water...

BEST LITTLE BACH WE'VE EVER STAYED IN

Location was perfect. If you want lake-side, this gem offers that. Comfortable with all amenities, wood fire and lots of heaters. Added touch of folded towels on beds . Hats off to the owners who have kept the integrity of a Retro Kiwiana Bach, honored the era, from the furniture right the way to the retro 'white-ware' and nick-nacks. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this gorgeous gem of a place. Can't wait to go back and make more memories. HUGE THANKS from the Korevaar Family.

Underwhelmed

This is a very dated Bach - the beautiful pictures of the location are deceptive to the actual Bach. This 1964 batch is just that - old everything - on arrival the oven was filthy , fireplace full of ashes- kitchen tops dirty. This grimy feeling had us wash everything we used before using it (unnecessarily).The cupboards were full of food / condiments etc. Whilst this helps certain travellers - there was no space for our food for 3 nights and most sell by dates tell a story when BB is 2006 on most items. They were priced similar to more modern Baches- our appeal was it was pet friendly.This area was well located for us and we will definitely return to the same area- it was magical and less touristy.

Cozy cottage by the lake with surrounding native bus

Great place to relax, unwind, and connect. Owners have really managed to preserve the classic kiwiana Bach style and beautiful surrounding native bush. Wish all baches were like this one!

Kiwiana Bach with location, location, location

Lovely retro Kiwiana Bach right in the lake front, but with lovely sheltered gardens. All amenities available that a family needs for a comfortable stay!
