4 bedroom 2 bath beach house with spectacular views!

Welcome to the Cuckoo's Nest and our little piece of paradise! With a wrap-around covered deck on the main floor, an open back deck on the third floor, and a crow's nest (widow's walk) on the fourth level, you'll experience the absolute best views in Sargent of the sunrise, sunset, Gulf of Mexico, Intracoastal Waterway, and the San Bernard Wildlife Refuge!

Inside you'll enjoy a bright and spacious open concept living/dining/kitchen filled with furnishings and beachy décor to help you relax and feel at home during your vacation getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped with dinnerware, bakeware, utensils, pots, pans, deep fryers, stock pots, cutlery, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and basic spices! A laundry room with full-size washer and dryer sits just off the kitchen, and one bedroom has a desk to work remotely, if you must.

Take the interior spiral staircase to the third level lookout with a game table and an amazing 360° view of your surroundings; then climb up the exterior spiral staircase to the open "Nest" for a truly breathtaking bird's eye view.

The home comfortably sleeps 10. The master bedroom has a king bed with private bath; the second bedroom has a queen bed and small desk; the third bedroom has a queen bed; and the fourth bedroom has two twin-over-twin bunk beds. A tri-folding twin mattress is also provided which is perfect for an adult or teen to enjoy their own private space in the third level lookout! It has 5G fiber internet and three Smart TVs including YouTube TV.

Outside you'll discover some of the best saltwater fishing and crabbing from the private lighted dock on the ICW with an overwater greenlight, fish cleaning station with sink and a garden hose, or grab your rod and stroll over to the surf side. Clean your catch or just relax and visit downstairs around the outdoor bar with a stainless steel countertop and sink.

Crab traps, cast nets, landing nets, beach chairs, outdoor charcoal grill and fire pit are all available for use. Wood for the firepit, one bag of charcoal and lighter fluid are provided.

No pets or animals allowed on the premises. Smoking is not permitted inside. No parties or events.

Beautiful Home

This was a family vacation with our kids and grandkids and we loved it. The house was well stocked with anything from kitchen to crab traps. Grandkids loved the tugboats coming thru. The adults loved the fishing and just the space and time to catch up with one another. We are hoping to plan next year here also.

Just amazing. If you want to treat yourselves to an awesome getaway, look no further. Fantastic location, multiple fish and crabs caught, and a beautiful, one of a kind home. So happy we booked it.

Great home, location, and view!

The house and view are phenomenal! It was well equipped and very comfortable. We had a great time, enjoyed the views of the ICW and the gulf, and really enjoyed the low traffic and calmness of the neighborhood. It was a great place!!!

Wonderful home for fishing and relaxing!

We thoroughly enjoyed this home and its surroundings! The home was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. We brought our groceries with us, but other than that everything was provided! This home is not in a touristy area (which is why we loved it!), so be prepared to bring most grocery items with you. However, there is a Dollar General and a Family Dollar a few miles down the road for basic necessities. There was only one restaurant in the area plus a few food trucks, so we cooked our meals at home most nights. The fishing is great off the back dock, especially at night under the green lights. We loved watching the barges go by, seeing a pod of dolphins swim down the canal, and watching the ever-changing conditions on the "beach" in front of the house. The beach is not a traditional sandy beach because of the revetment wall that has been installed to preserve the island. But this is one of the reasons the island has remained somewhat isolated from the large crowds, so we were happy to forego the sand for the peace and quiet! Karen was an amazing host and corresponded with us several times prior to our arrival and during our stay. She was quick to answer all questions that I posed and offered amazing tips on the local area and fishing culture. We also loved the layout of the house, which offered plenty of space for us to spread out! The "cuckoo's nest" was a neat attraction and one that offers an unparalleled 360 degree view of the island!

My husband and I came on Thursday and our daughter came on Saturday.

The home was fabulous, the weather was perfect, and the views were so relaxing. We saw a school of dolphins. Enjoyed watching the barges go up and down the canal. Had fun fishing off the peer,,,,even though we didn't catch any bit fish.
