About this property

This beautiful executive house situated at the top of Winton Terrace is a great choice for your vacation getaway.

The house is split level, it has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and features a wet bar, spacious patios, a double carport, swimming pool and a beautiful tree-lined garden.

Downstairs, there is the powder room in the foyer entrance. The wet bar is next, with access to the swimming pool and elevated pool patios. The elevated pool patio and enclosed courtyard are easily accessed from the formal living room and dining room, each flowing into the other. The breakfast/sitting room is one step up from the dining room, with the kitchen on one side and the fourth bedroom suite on the other. At the end of the lower floor is the multi-purpose Exercise/Mud/Nanny's room, with a bathroom and told-up single bed.

Three bedrooms are upstairs with two full bathrooms. The main bedroom has a Queen sized bedroom set, lots of closet space and a sun room which overlooks the swimming pool and garden. The second bedroom is set up with three single beds. This room is equipped with games, videos and books suitable for younger members of the family. The third bedroom has a Queen sized bed, and is equipped with a selection of DVDs, videos and books.

Bedrooms are equipped with televisions and DVD/VHS video players.

If you are traveling with a child or young children, there is an enclosed courtyard adjoining the formal dining area, as well as a large enclosed yard, where the young ones can feel free to enjoy themselves while still being supervised.

This house is a home away from home. It's great for lounging indoors in the formal living room, the sitting/great room, or your private bedroom; or outdoors on one of the spacious patios. There are many other areas for the family to either recreate and congregate or to enjoy solitude and the sound of silence, except for the melodious songs of cheerful birds. The entire garden area is enclosed to ensure your privacy.

You can stock the wet bar with your favourite beverages; and the house is fully equipped with everything needed to enjoy your stay here.

You can choose the sun deck while relaxing by the swimming pool. The cozy, intimate pool is ideal to cool off on those hot summer days and nights and the elevated pool patio is the ideal spot for outdoor dining or your choice of other recreational or social activities.

Yamacraw Beach and Montagu Beach are two of the beaches you would be near while staying at this house. Yamacraw Beach is in easy walking distance from "Tarona Hill".. If you enjoy walking, the nearest Supermarket is a brisk 10-minute walk. The area is quite hilly, providing effortless aerobic/cardio exercise as you walk.

A rental car is recommended. However, Taxi and Public Bus services are readily available. With advanced notice, Baby-Sitting and Chef services can also be arranged with our third party partners.

Amazing!

The venue is well keep, located near beautiful beaches and provides ample privacy for guest. More importantly the host is gracious kind and very professional. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time together at this VRBO.

New Years 2022

Our group of 9 had the pleasure of being hosted by Pauline over the New Year! Her home is beautiful, spacious, and very accommodating for a big group. There are plenty of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms for a large group to enjoy in comfort. The neighborhood location felt very safe and we were a short walk away from the beach! The pool outside was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained with ample seating outdoors to enjoy the patio spaces or yard. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy group meals in the dining area. Pauline thinks of the little details you may have forgotten, like items for children, bathrooms, or the beach! Booking with Pauline was a pleasure because of her strong communication throughout our stay and willingness to assist us in any way necessary. We would 100% recommend this stay and plan to revisit it in the future, thank you, Pauline!

Good host and Good location

Tarona Hill is dated, but in a good location with a beach and grocery store nearby . Tarona Hill accommated our large group of 5 adults and 7 children well. The exercise room does not have air conditioning though if you are planning to use it as a bedroom. The air conditioning did go out once, and the power also went out once, but Pauline did respond quickly and sent repairmen promptly to address the issues. Overall our stay at Tarona Hill was a good one. Pauline was a very friendly and communicative host.

Family Reunion 2022

We traveled to the Bahamas from the United States for our 2022 family reunion. We stayed at this VRBO for the duration of our trip. Very very pleased with our experience. Pauline was fantastic. She stayed in touch with us helped us with every question and even had a written up book prepared so we could get acquainted since we weren't familiar with things. We give them a 5+ star rating because the home was beautiful. The pool was a lovely distraction from the heat. We are so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience and look forward to our next family reunion! Many thanks to this family for helping us ake the most of our trip .

I spend a great deal of time with my family who live in the USA. As an empty-nester, I decided to offer this safe, peaceful, relaxed, comfortable home away from home to visitors.

Why they chose this property

My house is spacious but not opulent, in a quiet upper middle class neighborhood. Enter the front door and you enter a haven of peace and tranquility. Spend a quiet day or evening indoors or out. Enjoy sporting activities in the spacious enclosed yard or host small or large formal or informal gatherings. Dine indoors or out under the stars on the elevated pool patio or in the enclosed courtyard. Enjoy evening swims in the pool or sit, relax and sip your favorite drink in the comfortable patio chairs. It is perfect for a family with children, a group of friends/family or a wedding party. In fact, my son's wedding reception was held in our garden.

What makes this property unique

You are just 2 blocks from oceanfront Eastern Road and the smaller east end beaches – a nice walk in the fresh air and sunshine; and minutes away by car from the larger Montague Beach, where you can purchase Native food and drinks; Paradise Island and downtown Nassau. If you enjoy walking, as I do, you will love taking power walks, either along the waterfront or over the many surrounding hills.

A First Aid kit, fire extinguishers and smoke and fire alarms, and an upstairs emergency escape ladder are provided.

Three generations of my family enjoyed 30 wonderful, fun-filled years at "Tarona Hill". My 3 older grandchildren virtually grew up in the pool. Our home was always alive with activity, such as pool parties, sleep-overs, family and church gatherings, corporate cocktail and dinner parties. It is my wish that you and your family/friends experience a bit of this joy and true Island living at its best.
