About Diane Armstrong
One of my favorite enjoyments is gardening. We enjoy spending time at home, with our neighbors and going to the many museums and activities within minutes from us. This is truly an old fashioned walking neighborhood. Good for meeting people on dog walks and if you're into hiking, biking, running there are many trails, you can hook onto within a couple of blocks. Check out the place map in this site for a clear view of the parklands around us. I grew up on a large ranch/farm in the West USA, then immigrated with my family to another farm in Australia. I love to host people from all over the world and it never ceases to amaze me how big and small this world is at the same time! Since hosting in my other home, I've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful and interesting people.

Why Diane Armstrong chose Cleveland
I grew up in a very rural area and I absolutely love this neighborhood because it is in the heart of the city, with gorgeous historic homes minutes from everything Cleveland has to offer, yet has so much green beauty around. You can walk two blocks and be in the woods by babbling Doan Brook or go bird watching around the Shaker Lakes and Shaker Nature Center. Best of all worlds! Sometimes I just move my office out into the garden and work there too.
What makes this House unique
This was a "love at first sight" kind of real estate purchase that we're warned not to make! It needed lots of love and the story will go on because I have more plans in the future for this home. I'm glad I fell in love with the details, the 100+ windows to clean, the fact that these are twin homes made it even better. The light that all these windows bring is so beautiful and I have to think of that when I'm washing them!!

Attractive and well-equipped home in a lovely neighborhood
My family and I cooked and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here with other relatives who live in Greater Cleveland. This house served our needs perfectly. The bedrooms easily accommodated the the six of us from out of town. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. The kitchen was a little on the small side but had everything one would need to prepare and serve a meal for a large-ish group, even including aprons for the cooks. The stove and dishwasher were a pleasure to use. Diane, the owner, quickly responded to any questions we had and was friendly and helpful. She made sure that we had what we needed to host our dinner, such as table linens, extra chairs, etc. The house and everything in it was scrupulously clean. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away and we enjoyed strolling around lower Shaker Lake as well. I would be happy to stay here again when I return to the area.
The best of both worlds! Quiet urban neighborhood in an historic district. Much green space for quiet walks around Shaker Lakes and Doan Brook. Only 5 minutes from world class Art and Cultural center of University Circle. 15 minutes from Downtown Cleveland and Playhouse Square. Many great restaurants and bars.
