There is an excellent range of summer activities, including hang-gliding, hiking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, parachuting and guided nature walks. On the river Isere below, there is white-water rafting, canoeing and canyoning. There is a surfaced path running for miles alongside the river for walkers, joggers, roller-bladers and cyclists. There is a lido on the river for summer swimming and an outdoor pool in the neighbouring village of Montchavin. The lovely lakeside town of Annecy is only an hour’s drive away, or practise your hairpin-bend driving technique on a day visit to Italy via the Petit St. Bernard Pass (closed in winter).
The town of Bourg St. Maurice is about eight miles away - down the mountain and turn right. It is a real town with a life of its own beyond tourism. There is a pedestrianised centre with a good range of small shops and a weekly street market. Just on the outskirts there are two large supermarkets (and a Lidl).

About Jacky Parker
My family have been enjoying skiing holidays since 1970 and we have had experience of a large number of resorts around Europe. In 1999 we decided to put down roots in Les Coches because we liked its small village feel and its location at the heart of the vast Paradiski area. Twenty years on we are still enjoying it, winter and summer, with its magnificent view of Montblanc. We have made quite a few improvements to the apartment since we bought it and our regular trips there mean we can keep it in good condition. With grandchildren now beginning to ski we are looking forward to even more fun on the slopes.
Jacky Parker purchased this apartment in 1999
Why Jacky Parker chose Bellentre
