Modern 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the private swimming pool (locked and gated for private use of residents). This lovely 2 bed apartment is privately owned and is well maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. Fully equipped with TV, DVD player, DVDs, cards, books, crockery, cutlery, George Forman Grill, microwave, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, clothes maiden, etc. There are ceiling fans in the double room and lounge, a floor fan in the twin room, a built-in safe in the double room. The apartment is ideally located with the Thalasia Health Spa and 'La Sal' restaurant and ice-cream parlour practically on your doorstep. Within walking distance to clean safe blue flag beaches, restaurants, pubs, health spa, market, bus station. Only 15 min drive from Murcia airport just of the main motorway. Nice quiet area with lots to see and do.

Too many locks

There were five locked doors/ gates to get to the swimming pool, and the key to the three gates took a lot of patience unlocking and this would have been a big problem if there was a fire and there was no info or a fire extinguisher on this matter. We were disappointed that the description of the appartmentwas not as portrayed in the photo as it implied that this was the apartment that overlooked the pool. The info in info pack was not applicable as the Spanish shop was never open and the hotel was not serving food. One day the water was off for twelve hours but we only heard about this talking to a resident I think we should have been told officially. The apartment was very clean and was well appointed and the pool was also.

Apartamento aceptable cerca de las salinas pero alejado de la playa

El apartamento es aceptable, ni muy malo ni cinco estrellas como leímos en algunos comentarios antes de hacer la reserva. El precio es bueno por eso no se le puede pedir mucho más. La ubicación regular, cerca de las salinas pero alejado de las playas y el centro, hace falta coger coche para todo. La piscina no es muy grande pero normalmente no baja mucha gente. Para nosotros lo peor ha sido el trato con la persona responsable de entregar las llaves. Una chica simpática pero imposible comunicarse con ella en español porque no habla prácticamente nada. Entiendo que el cliente mayoritario sea extranjero pero debe llevar mucho tiempo en España y lo normal es que hablase un poco el idioma. Además la comunicación ha sido lenta y escueta. Y lo peor es que nos hizo esperar a la llegada y a la salida. A la salida derecho ni llegó, después de esperarla en la calle con el coche cargado y ser nosotros quienes le escribiésemos nos dijo que no llegaba, que dejaremos allí la llave. Y para colmo hemos tenido un problema que es el que más nos ha disgustado, nos dejamos olvidada toda la ropa interior de mi hija pequeña en un cajón y cuando le dijimos que si podía enviárnosla no nos hizo mucho caso, hemos tenido que hablar directamente con la propietaria, Emma (a la que tenemos que agradecer un trato de 10). 3 semanas después aun no hemos recibido el paquete con la ropa...

About the host

We are a married couple with a with 2 teenage kids and have been holidaying at our apartment since before they were bron. We visit at least twice a year and love the area.

Why they chose this property

The perfect location. Close to all amenities such as restaurants, beach, salt lakes, bars, supermarket. Beautiful picturesque area with lots to see and do. It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport. If you wish to stay on complex during the day there is a swimming pool that is locked for private use of residents only so unlike large complex where the swimming pool area can be very packed our swimming pool only ever has around 15 people max. We chose this area due to the warmer climate and that it is still very Spanish (yet the local speak English) and very friendly.

What makes this property unique

For peace of mind the keyholder lives on site as a point of contact should you have a problem whilst you are on holiday. We have had people lock themselves out, forget the safe code etc and the key holder is on site to help. Most private lets just post you the keys in England or just leave them for you in Spain. If you need help there is no one there - which can be very worrying when in a foreign country and can spoil your holiday.
