Villa in Dalyan, Turkey - Peaceful Location, Town Centre 12 Mins, Wi-Fi, Transfers
About Lesley Thomson
We are married with one teenage son who is now 23 and still loves coming to Dalyan.
Lesley Thomson purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Lesley Thomson chose Dalyan
We first visited Turkey in 2007 and fell in love with Dalyan and the people who are both friendly and helpful. It is a town where we immediately felt at home and relaxed. Although our villa is in a quiet location it is only a short walk to the supermarkets, local shops and many wonderful restaurants. It is quite possible to stay here without the need of a car.
What makes this Villa unique
We love the peace and quiet and of course the huge swimming pool which is over forty feet in length. It was never meant to be this size, but the builder made a mistake and we are really glad he did as we spend more time in the pool than anywhere else. There is also separate smaller pool for young children. Everything is provided for you, we even have radio alarm clocks, hair straighteners, hairdryers and foot pumps for airbeds. We haven't forgotten about entertainment either and provide a variety of books, CDs, PS2 games and board games. We have a media player in the villa with a fabulous selection of movies for the whole family to enjoy and a Sony iPod docking station. The villa has a large wooden pagoda in the garden with outdoor light and is a lovely setting for reading a book.

quiet , relaxing .
The villa was lovely , nicely laid out and very spacious . There was everything that we needed , a big bonus was the fact that both bedrooms had good sized ensuites , the area was quiet and relaxing and the pool was amazing , bigger than the picture showed . I have to say the correspondence with Lesley and Simon the owners , was superb , instilling confidence with the booking going forward . We arranged for taxi pick up and return with the owners , through their property agency , sulttanhan and they was right on time both ways a great service ! If we go to Dalyan again this will be our go to villa .
Thank you very much , Lesley and Simon and the sulttanhan management team .

We always love to hear that guests have enjoyed the villa and of course Dalyan. Villa Jasville is in such a nice area of Dalyan as you have the best of everything; peaceful and relaxing during the day, but just a short walk in to town.
Dalyan has a really good selection of restaurants which seems to improve every year and they cater for all variety of cuisines: Turkish, European, Indian, Chinese, Italian. Also there are a lot more cafes selling coffee and home made cakes - our favourite!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Villa Jasville, or any of our other villas, if you decide to return to Dalyan again in the future.
Beautiful Villa, great location
My husband and 10 year old daughter stayed at Villa Jasville for 2 weeks in August and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
The Villa is just about the right size for a small group and is in fact larger than the pictures on the website suggest.
The pool is as large as described and even enabled a few competitive li-lo races! The pool and surrounding area were cleaned regularly and the garden areas are well maintained. Although surrounded by other villas, it is quiet and peaceful.
The location is good - only 10 minutes to a local shop and 20 minutes stroll to the Migros supermarket.
There are plentiful restaurants in Dalyan - the one's closest to the river are the most expensive, but nonetheless are still reasonably priced. There are a few restaurants closer to the villa and we particularly enjoyed the food and welcome at the Kervansary restaurant. I have to say that Turkish wine is rather good and inexpensive- Angora was a particular favorite.
All the restaurants are family friendly and we noticed quite a few have safe play areas for younger children. Free wifi is available in most places too.
The guys at Styx travel are brilliant and couldn't do enough to help during our stay. They helped us organize a few trips the best of which was the landrover safari - be warned you will get very wet! We also did the whitewater rafting which was great - but not for the faint-hearted. There is a fair amount of travel up and down mountains with spectacular scenery. The rafting itself lasts a couple of hours.
All in all, Dalyan is a fantastic, chilled and relaxed resort. The riverside is gorgeous and it doesn't feel overly commercialized. Highly recommended.
Sounds like you had a fabulous holiday in Dalyan. I have to say you were very brave with the whitewater rafting. Villa Jasville has one of the largest pools of our Dalyan villas which is really good as it gives you lots of space to play in the water, but not so good if you are doing lengths!
It is sometimes difficult to properly capture the space inside of a villa on photographs, but as you say it is a very good size for a family holiday. It is actually 50% larger than some other 2 bedroom villas in the area.
Dalyan has lots of really good restaurants to eat in and some particularly good Turkish ones and as you have experienced the Turkish people are very welcoming and good with children, which makes it a very good place for a family holiday.
fantastic villa brilliant holiday
we had the best holiday in this fantastic villa it is even better than the photos.
The description is accurate especially the pool which is where we spent most of our days chilling ! Everything was spotlessly clean the poolman / gardener came everyday and there was plenty of towels so you do not really need to bring any.All the resaurants we ate in were good and we honestly never had a bad meal. Café central which is really good food is 5 mins from vilia ,great for lunch or evening meal if you do not want to walk far.We also went on the private boat trip which Ahmet provides and it was an amazing day .we went to the river and thermal springs and had lunch on the boat - BRILL !! We would not hesitate to recommend this villa or Dalyan as a holiday destination ,we had a wonderful time
Thank you for your lovely review of Villa Lochville in Dalyan.
I will pass on your comments about the villa to Emel, who cleans it, and to our gardener/poolman who all work very hard during the year to keep the villa immaculate.
We believe in being honest in our villa descriptions and when answering any questions, as there is nothing worse than arriving somewhere and it is not as described.
We also hire a boat through Ahmet when we are there during the summer. A boat trip is a wonderful way to spend a day, lazing on the river with a relaxed and tasty lunch – perfect!
Rachel and I arrived for our 2nd trip to Dalyan on Monday 30 June 2014. We had booked to stay at the Villa Jassville in Dalyan which we were both really excited about. I am happy to say that Villa Jassville did not disappoint, it is a lovely villa in a great location 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dalyan or 5 minutes by bike our preferred mode of transport.
The Villa has everything you need for a carefree holiday and it is open plan so you get a beautiful aspect to the swimming pool through the french doors onto the patio. The swimming pool is at least 40feet long the best pool we have experienced on holiday so we really look forward to our daily swim.
Ahmet is the villa manager and is always around to help if and when you need him. Ahmet is a great guy and he will do all he can to make sure you really do enjoy your holiday. We would also like to mention Vedet and Metin of Styx travel, both lovely guys, no hassle, and they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your holiday. We booked a number of trips with them including a trip to Fethiye, the Blue Lagoon Kayakoy (Ghost town) and Oludeniz beach which is a must see trip fabulous beaches. It was a great day which had a bit of everything, culture, history, Fethiye Market(be prepared to barter) a really nice lunch and then onto the beautiful Blue lagoon.
Back in Dalyan we enjoyed a lovely relaxing time in a place were the sun always shines although at times the heat was overwhelming being July of course. We eat at some great places including Metins, Yakamoz, Aubergines, Central Park Hotel and Kokorec the best chicken and Adona sandwiches in Dalyan.
We also loved Loved chilling at Latikas Cafe in town, enjoying the best cocktails, my favorite was Mojitas and Rach enjoyed the Irish Coffee and French press coffee. Mofet's Smoothies were the best in Dalyan so we would highly recommend that you visit and say hello to Mofet for us.
We had a lovely relaxing and chilled holiday in Dalyan enhanced by the great time we had staying at the Villa Jassville. We will definitely be back soon:-))
Thank you for taking the time to write the review about Villa Jasville and Dalyan, we appreciate all feedback that we receive. We have known Ahmet since 2007 and we work hard with him throughout the year to ensure that our guests have all the help and support that they require during their stay. The Villa Jasville pool at 12.5 metres in length is one of the longest pools of the villas that we have in Dalyan - it is always a challenge to get to the end of the pool. We also enjoying eating at Kokorec - they do wonderful home made chips and the Tost is really good. We look forward to welcoming you back again in August 2015.
A true gem
My sister and I have just returned from our 3rd visit to Dalyan and our first stay at Villa Jasville and I have to say that Jasville is by far the best villa we have stayed in. Every need has been catered for and it was beautifully presented. The pools are out of this world and a welcome relief from the heat of the last two weeks. The villa is situated in a very convenient part of town with 3 supermarkets and another small store nearby. We love Dalyan already and now that we have found this villa, we are already looking at dates for our return next year and would have no hesitation in booking either this villa again or one of Lesley and Simon’s other properties nearby.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your holiday in Villa Jasville. Our intention with our villas is to furnish and equip them as we would expect to find a holiday villa. Emel who cleans our villas works very hard to keep the villas spotless and does a wonderful job for us. The Villa Jasville pool at 12.5 metres in length is one of the longest pools we have in our villas and fantastic for swimming or playing. We look forward to welcoming you back next time you decide to holiday in Dalyan.
The area around Dalyan is a national conservation area and home to numerous varieties of birds, and three types of turtle, including the protected loggerhead Caretta Caretta sea turtle. A 12 minute walk will take you to the riverside in Dalyan or 20 minutes by dolmus to the beautiful Iztuzu Beach (Turtle Beach), a boat can also be taken to the beach.
Dalaman International Airport is 25 minutes drive from the villa and we can help arrange transfers if required. Transfers cost £30 (2013 prices) each way for up to six guests and you will be taken direct to the villa door.
Flights to Dalaman are available from most UK local and international airports and many other European countries.
Car hire is not essential as you are very close to the centre of town and there is a very good local bus service from Dalyan to all major towns nearby.
Corner shop is 5 minutes walk.
Migros supermarket is 12 minutes walk.
From the villa it is a gentle 12 minute stroll into Dalyan town centre.
Ortaca is 20 minutes by Dolmus (local minibus). Daily buses can also be taken to many larger towns including Fethiye (50 minutes) and Marmaris (1 hour).
Dalyan town centre, with its pretty cobbled streets is only a 12 minute walk from the villa and has fabulous selection of restaurants, bars and cafes - many of them are open until midnight - which serve a great variety of cuisines including wonderful Turkish dishes.
Dalyan has numerous supermarkets, fishmonger and 3 butchers, as well as many smaller shops selling locally produced fruit, vegetables and ice cream.
Markets are held in many local towns, 2 of the best are in Ortaca on a Friday and Dalyan on a Saturday. Also in the town centre there are numerous ATMs, a post office and a branch of the local Turkish Is Bank.
