Apartment in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote. South Facing Patio
- english, spanish
We are a young(ish) family, dad, mum and 4 children.
D.J. purchased this Bungalow in 2005
Why D.J. chose Costa Teguise
We bought this property because we loved the complex. We loved being able to open our patio doors and stroll out to the pool. We had done our share of package holidays, struggling with buggies and bags down loads of steps to go down to the pool, where you had to carry a small fortune just to buy drinks, snacks and ice-creams. It was such a treat to be able to leave your own ice-creams and cold drinks in your own fridge and have your own patio furniture by the poolside. The furniture was so comfortable that it was a home away from home and we could have lunch in or head to one of the restaurants if we preferred.
What makes this Bungalow unique
I love having a comfortable lounge area but being able to open the patio doors, sit outside and then have a dip in the pool directly outside

This was our second stay in this property. Sands Beach resort is a fantastic place. We love it here.
The villa itself is very clean and comfortable. Very very well equipped. The kitchen is great, we were able to cook every day with no limits!
The villa has the sun shine all day, it’s on the sunny side of the plaza.
Town is only a 15 minute stroll either along the promenade or along the main road.
The shop near reception (2 mins from villa) provides all the essentials that you may need upon arrival.
The resort itself is kept very clean.
Also on resort is a bar which is used for kids club in the evening etc. There is also 2 restaurants.. The Mai tai bar being my favourite which is based in a middle of a lido, and also boasts the only heated pool on resort.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week here, and are already planning on returning to this little gem!
Many thanks to the owners who are very helpful also.
This villa had everything you could possibly need, well organised kitchen equipment, plenty of crockery, glasses etc, lots of wardrobe and storage space, situated in a lovely area. I think a little bit of a makeover is needed, but in no way did this affect our stay here, I would come back!

Thank you for the 5 star review and positive comments.
Great location, very easy to access, villa central to everything, and lovely neighbours.
Thank you for the 5-star rating and positive comments. Much appreciated
You have the choice of relaxing at the private lagoon style beach on the complex or taking a 5 minute stroll to Las Charcos Beach. This is a tranquil beach, with 640m of golden sands protected by breakwaters, this beach sits in the heart of Costa Teguise. It's one of the favourite beaches for windsurfers. There are numerous bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. The Aquarium is only 5 minutes away and is a must if you like sharks!
Sands Beach resort is approx 20 min drive from the main Arrecife airport. Plenty of taxis are available and should cost approx €20. There are also plenty of reputable care hire companies available, should you wish to explore the island. Taxis are available from reception on a 24 hour basis and there is no waiting time.
The villa is only a 5 min walk to the main centre of Costa Teguise which is one of Lanzarote’s most popular tourist resorts. One advantage is that it is flat so you don't have to worry about climbing hills. Costa Teguise is also home to Lanzarote's only golf course.
It's a convenient place from which to explore the islands tourist and cultural attractions, as well as the northern fishing villages of Arrieta and Orzola. The island’s historic capital of Teguise is a 10 to 15 minute drive away
Whether it is an active holiday that you are planning, or a lazy chilled out break, then there are lots of places for you to visit and things to do in and around Costa Teguise. The other main tourist resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blance are only a short taxi drive away. To get a real feel of Lanzarote you should make your way to some of the villages scattered over the island. You can do this by excursion's that you can book through any good local tour operator. Of course there is another way and that is to hire a car giving you the freedom to explore this island at your own pace and in your own time.
If you like a good haggle and great bargain there is a large market in Teguise, La Villa de Teguise is one of the main cultural and tourist centres on the island. One of its most popular events is the Mercadillo. Every Sunday morning, the entire village turns into a grand open air market where shoppers can browse among the stalls of wares from artifacts to home made bread, all animated by groups of folk dancers and singers in native costume.
Throughout the year Costa Teguise has many carnivals and fiestas, so if you are on holiday here whilst a fiesta is taking place, the you should go along and have a look and for the more daring participate, which can do by taking part in the fancy dress and partying alongside it all - it is a brilliant day and night out, with which most do party well into the early hours and some don't even stop for two days - so be prepared!
The nightlife in Costa Teguise is quieter than its neighbour, Puerto del Carmen so if you fancy partying the night away then you can take the short journey by bus or taxi to that resort. In Costa Teguise however, there is a good selection of restaurants, bars and pubs along Avenida Islas Canarias near the Toca Shopping centre and also at Los Charcos. You will be able to find many restaurants where you can just sit in peace and watch the world go by along the seafront and promenade.
