Beach & Town 10 min by car. In Nice the beaches run along the entire seafront. The Nice beaches are some of the most visited of all French Riviera beaches. They extend uninterrupted for more than four miles, following the Promenade des Anglais from the international airport all the way to the foot of the Château in the Vieux-Port (old port). For sunbathing, consider taking a padded mat or renting a sun lounger available at all the best beaches. Best villages St.Paul De Vence or Eze.

Vieux Nice is lined with restaurants and cafes, offering everything from local seafood specialities to pizzas and traditional French fare and fine dining. In particular, the area around Cours Saleya is a popular area for dining out. In the modern part of Nice, the area around the Rue Masséna is also notable. In the narrow streets of Vieux Nice, there are plenty of small, independent shops selling giftware, handmade crafts, regional goods and clothes. Many of Nice's main department stores, high street shops and shopping centres are located on and around the Avenue Jean Médecin. Nice's main pedestrian shopping street is the Rue de France, which runs from the end of the Place Massena. As well as exclusive clothing boutiques, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can take a welcomed break from shopping. If you don't mind the trip out of town, Cap 3000 is a large shopping complex just west of the Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport.
