About John Spack
Our family has been traveling to Bridgton and more specifically Knights Hill on Moose Pond several times per year over the last 12 years. Out on the water with kayaks, paddle boards, or water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, hiking Pleasant Mountain, biking, swimming in the association pool, family basketball games, frisbee golf tornaments and making smores by the campfire in the summer. In the Fall is the Fryeburg Fair and pumpkin picking and getting lost in the corn maze at Sherman Farm. Shawnee Peak is the Mountain where our children learned to ski and the whole family has enjoyed both day and night skiing. We saw our first dog sled race and when the ice on Moose Pond was covered in snow, we would do a late night lake walk with the lights of Shawnee Peak reflecting off Moose Pond. The fun and memories are priceless.

Why John Spack chose West Bridgton
The location of this property within the Knights Hill Association is very close (walking distance) to the water without steep hills to climb. All the amenities that the association has to offer is included with the rental. This isn't just a rental property to us. This is the place we take our family vacations as well. The point being, White Birch Lodges is well maintained and lovingly cared for. We keep a clean home and our guests experience the same.

Wonderful rental in Bridgton
My husband, 3 children (ages 3, 5 & 12) had a wonderful stay here! We were pleasantly surprised as the pictures don’t do this place justice! Tucked in amongst the trees, this cabin is a great place for a family to stay! We took day trips during the day but loved coming back to the air conditioned, clean, home. The pond is just a very short walk away and the pool association is just a very short trip up the street (we drove as we weren’t sure exactly where it was, though the map in the rental binder provided by John was easy to follow). The pool is a great size and there is also a small walk in pool for the kids.
Our daughter enjoyed the upstairs master bedroom all to herself, while we used the bedroom downstairs which connected via a small bathroom to the bunk room where our two smaller children slept. The bed rail was very appreciated that was there (we had brought one but definitely needed the second). The dressers in each room were also very handy. The kitchen and dining room we didn’t use much, but if we had used it more it seemed to have everything needed. The large table was perfect for our morning breakfasts together. And at night after our day trips, we enjoyed watching a movie on the couch downstairs. I also very much appreciated that there was a washer and dryer! Two things for future guests to remember: you will need bedding for two queen beds and 4 twin size beds (if needed), and also bring your own laundry supplies if using that (but make sure they are environmentally friendly). We were very pleased with this house, the communication with our host and would definitely recommend it & would stay there again!
Great location and everything we needed
We spent a week here and enjoyed the local towns, Conway area, and Portland. Aside from bringing our own towels and sheets, the house had everything we needed for a great stay.
Nice clean home close to the beach
We had a wonderful stay. Spent most of the time on the lake and at the beach.
The house is outfitted with everything one would require. The weather was most agreeable with only one day of rain. Very convenient to North Conway and the White Mountains.
Great property, clean, comfortable and spacious.
We had a great time staying at White Birch Lodge. The cottage is well equipped and we found everything that we needed. The place was very clean and neat, comfortable and plenty of room for the five of us on the weekend. The only concern we might have is the stairs going forward as we are retired and stairs always seem to be a concern, but for now it wasn't. We will certainly look at your property again for a seasonal visit. The foliage was beautiful and heard the acorns falling on the rooftop, a sure sign of fall.
My family and I had a perfect week up at White Birch Lodge. Clean property, enough space for all of us and our dog (pet friendly too!), and just a very short walk down to the beach! The pool was a short drive but still, definitely worth it! The four of us (wife, children, and I) all got to enjoy kayaking, swimming, night walks, town life, the movies, and all of the small and lovely shops in the center of town. The grocery stores/ pharmacies, and fast food restaurants are just a short drive from the association. There is a handful of ice cream places around Bridgton with fantastic, Maine flavors. We recommend staying here for families and couples of all ages! There is something for everyone! Our only 'problem' per say, was the spiders in and around the house. Other than that, our week was spectacular.
The boat launch is less than 2 miles away. If you have a boat, it must be registered and trailered daily. The association boat docks have assigned spaces and no guarantees a slip will be available. Special arrangements and charges may apply. The boat would need to be inspected by the association with length between 14 ft - 18 ft long and must have an automatic bilge pump to have any potential of utilizing dock space.
