We stayed at this villa for 10 days recently. It is a lovely villa but badly laid out. The three bedrooms upstairs have just one shower and there is a bath but given the paucity of water, complicated controls etc, who would choose a bath over a shower? There is a second loo/bathroom downstairs that could be converted to a shower.
There is no dish washer - it is not fun washing up on holiday.
The put up bed we were promised was not fit for service.
Mugs were discoloured or cracked.
The loo brush downstairs was disgusting.
There was not enough outside light.
A door collapsed falling into the property while we were there. Another door looked to be on its last legs.
The pool lights were turned off prematurely over the first few days, forcing us to come inside early.
This is a lovely villa, but needs some TLC and alterations.
I am sorry that you didn't approve with the layout of the property but to be honest you are the first person to have companied about this.As is usual there are 3 bedrooms upstairs which are shared by 1 shower & 1 bath, the bath is my choice! This is all clearly shown on the website and if I was to convert the downstairs toilet I expect there would be a complaint about having to go downstairs to shower! The toilet downstairs is for the use of guests that are using the pool area and in my opinion serves the purpose.Yes there is no dishwasher available at the property but this is clearly labelled on the website and therefore should not have been a surprise and I feel this is an unfair criticism.I was over in July and when I left the light over the clock was working. I expect a bulb has blown and there was plenty of spare bulbs in the cupboard.
I did notice that the hinges had broken on the patio doors and I had asked for the agent to arrange for them to be repaired prior to your arrival, unfortunately this was forgotten and I have spoke to him about this. I can only apologise for this oversight. As for the cups/glass/crockery, cups do get cracked whilst in use & as I haven't been over to Turkey as often as I used to I have now instructed the cleaners to inspect for any damage and for items to be replaced between guests. As for the Loo brush?this is another issue for the cleaner and I will ensure it is highlighted for the future. The pool lights are on a timer as guests in the past had a tendency to leave on night & day and that is obviously costly.I am sorry that your stay wasn't as enjoyable as you had expected and I must highlight that youare the first to complain in the 7yrs.
This is a most beautiful area of Turkey with an awe inspiring coastline. The small town of Dalyan has a wondeful location on a river which connects a large inland lake to the Mediterranean Sea. Iztusu Beach has just been voted the sixth best beach in the world and offers 5km of white sand and very safe swimming and no crowds. This is a conservation area so there are no beach front developments. The beach is reach by boat or dolmus.
Dalyan is only 25 min from Dalaman International airport. Transfers can be arranged, please inquire for cost. Once in Dalyan a car is not necessary as everything is close at hand. If transport is needed the local dolmus minibuses are very cheap and very reliable. For the energetic there are two very good mountain bikes in the villa for guests to use. Additional bikes can be hired very cheaply. Cycling in Dalyan is very easy.
10 min from Dalyan. 20 min from Award winning beach by water taxi. 15 min from Ancient city of Caunos. 10 min from from river/ lake/ mountains. 60 min from Fethiye.
