About Tony and Maureen Parton
We live in Staffordshire, UK and have 3 children. As they were growing up we looked for holidays where we had plenty to do but where we were also happy to spend time in our own house. We like contemporary style living and so the properties we own all reflect this. We have invested in large houses in Florida and Cornwall, which are available for short term (holiday) lets. They have been extensively refurbished and provide a clean, fresh, look and feel. We wanted to provide ample space and luxury for a family to live in while enjoying a holiday. We love spending time in our houses and hope that you will enjoy them too. Tony & Maureen.
Tony and Maureen Parton purchased this House in 2009
Why Tony and Maureen Parton chose Porth
We looked for a large property, close to the beach with beatiful sea views. This one was perfect for us - we have a gate that gives access to a large sandy beach. We can wind away days just watching the Atlantic Ocean waves come in or families building sand castles on the beach, or go for a walk on cliff tops with magnificent views over the sea.
What makes this House unique
It's set in a magnificent position offering views of the Atlantic Ocean, cliff tops and has a gate leading straight on to large a sandy beach. It is a short walk in to Newquay or Watergate Bay and a short drive from Padstow, Truro and other destinations. It is a large house which offers plenty of space for a family and their friends.

glorious house in paradise
the house is marvelous and perfectly located. We have been going there for several years, the whole family comfortably together, and will continue into the future
Perfect house got a large family group.
This is our 3nd visit and we have booked again for next year.
Everything is just perfect. The house, the location, the facilities and we have always been amazingly lucky with the weather too.
Beautiful beach property
We had a wonderful time at this lovely house, it had everything you needed and more. All the rooms are spacious and well thought out. The views from the lounge area [all windows] are fabulous. We had a great week there celebrating various birthdays and anniversaries, the only down side was that we had to leave!
Our 4th summer holiday in this phenomenal house overlooking the only quiet beach on the N Cornwall coast
We had a fantastic holiday in a great property in a great location. Every need was catered for.
Four generations of our family arrived in porth over the weekend of 4th August.
The house was the best we have stayed in in the UK. The facilities are great and cater for the whole range of ages - we made use of the table football and table tennis, the enclosed garden ( great for our 2 dogs ), the sauna and gym equipment. The 7 bedrooms are all furnished really nicely and there was a travel cot for our young granddaughter. The big WOW factor though is the view from the newly installed floor to ceiling windows which run along the length of the rear of the house and which provides an absolutely stunning view of the beach from the sitting / dining area.
We made use of the garden and patio area every day. The lockable gate at the bottom of the rear garden provided direct access in to the beach and we used this every day either for walking our 2 dogs or for a bit of beach cricket / football or for exploring the beach and its many rock pools.
There is everything you could want for the perfect holiday at this property and location. Everyone of us had a great time.
Thank you for your very kind comments. We are pleased to read that you had such a wonderful holiday and that you liked the house.

What to say I can not say a bad word from the moment we arrived to the sad moment we had to leave was just perfect! We can not Thank you all enough for all you did to make our stay amazing. You have such a beautiful home and we will sure to be back one of the best places we have ever stayed. Our family was reunited from America and we have truly made some amazing memories we will never forget. Xx
Our property has beach frontage with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and Porth Island. We have direct access onto the clean, sandy beach, through a locked gate. Porth Beach is a safe family beach with a lifeguard on duty Easter - September, when dogs are allowed on the beach before 9am and after 6pm. Swimming and Body Boarding are allowed, Surfers have a short walk to Lusty Glaze or Whipsiderry Beaches. There are rock pools for the kids and a footbridge onto Porth Island where the sunset views are fabulous.
The property is situated only 10 mins drive from Newquay Airport which has several airlines flying into it. There is a train station in Newquay (3 miles away) and as the property is on the main coastal route, there are regular buses. There are plenty of taxi companies in the area if you wish to use them. Car travellers will only have to travel for 15 mins to the house, once they have left the A30 dual carriageway.
Our house is situated on the main coastal route on the north coast of Cornwall, between Newquay and Padstow. We are 2 miles from the fantastic surfing beaches of Newquay and Watergate Bay. Porth has its own village (less than a mile away) with a variety of shops, Padstow with its quaint harbour, shops and renowned restaurants is 13 miles away, and the lovely towns of St.Ives, Falmouth and Fowey only 40 minutes drive. Truro, with its beautiful cathedral is just 13 miles away.
Eating out in Cornwall is just about as good as it gets for seafood. There are of course the renowned seafood restaurants of Rick Stein & Nathan Outlaw in nearby Padstow and Rock plus Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 in Padstow with its recently acquired Michelin star. Even closer is Jamie Oliver's Fifteen which has superb views over Watergate Bay. But we have found some fabulous lesser known seafood restaurants in Falmouth, Fowey, St.Ives and Port Isaac which are also worth a visit. If you prefer a good old Cornish pub, there's plenty of those we can recommend too. And lets not forget how scrumptious a Cornish Cream Tea can be too.
During the summer months there is a convenience store, beach shop and cafe just across the beach. Village shops, banks and a Tesco Express are less than a mile away. There's a massive Morrissons in Newquay, plus the other major supermarkets and M & S Food is in Truro, 25 minutes away.
There is a pitch and putt course just across the beach although Newquay has a much better groomed one, along with crazy golf, the Zoo, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, childrens play area, boating lake, and a Water World. Holywell Bay is about 5 miles away and has a theme park and an 18 hole long pitch and putt course which has really beautiful views.
My favourite tourist spots to visit are Padstow for its quaint shops and an ice cream sitting on the harbour, St Ives which has a Tate Art Gallery, Fowey which has lovely quirky shops and afternoon tea on the deck overlooking the river at The Quayside, Port Isaac (it's just so Cornish and you get wonderful crab sandwiches there) and Falmouth.
There are some challenging walks nearby with scenery to die for. A walk from the house upto The Headland Hotel in Newquay (where they filmed The Witches) is only 3 miles tho!
There are some great spas nearby too, The Scarlet Hotel with its seaweed hot tubs on the cliff, The Watergate Bay and Sands Hotels. We also know a wonderful therapist who comes to the house. Enjoy!
