About this property

Welcome to Casa Josephina! This pristine four-bedroom countryside villa is located within the charming village of Quelfes, minutes away from the fishing town of Olhão and its beautiful white sand beach island, and 15 minutes from Faro international airport.

This villa is surrounded by a beautiful landscaped garden with fruit trees, roses, bougainvillea and other colourful plants, a large private swimming pool (12 x 6 meters) and a 2700 sq. meters of untouched land.

This South-facing family villa built over two levels can comfortably sleep 8 adults. It offers privacy, space, comfort and fabulous amenities so that you can enjoy the sun soaked lifestyle of the Algarve.

The open plan living/dining room on the ground floor features a dining table seating 8, a wood burning stove and comfy sofas for relaxing after a long day in the sun, LCD TV offering both English and Dutch TV, and a fast internet service all around the property.

An ensuite bedroom be found on the ground floor, just off the lounge. This bedroom features a super kingsize double bed and a window looking into the gardens.

On an upper level, a further three bedrooms: one with twin beds and private shower room, and the others with twin beds. Two of the three bedrooms offer access to a large roof terrace with sun loungers and fantastic views to the sea. There is also another large bathroom with bath / shower.

The kitchen has a table and chairs for casual dining, and is fully equipped with all necessary appliances, leading by steps to an outside covered terrace where you can find a BBQ, a fridge and a dining area.

In the garden, by the poolside, there is a cool shaded chill out zone for cocktails or for just reading a book; an elegant loggia with fridge, sink, running water and comfortable sofas and 8 sun loungers. This will be the most popular spot in the villa during your stay.

The villa is fully air conditioned.
Bed linen and bath towels (no pool towels) are provided.
Cleaning service, linen and bathroom towels are changed every seven days. Extra services can be provided at an additional charge.
A car is recommended when staying at Casa Josephina.
Easy parking on the driveway for a maximum of 3 cars.

Winter Stay

Stayed for two weeks in January and apart from some rain for a couple of days we had tremendous weather. the Villa and gardens are beautiful , even in January. Sonia from the management company was always available and attentive. We had a wonderful, relaxed stay at Casablanca Josephine, we recommend.

Entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir haben die Zeit im Casa Josephina sehr genossen. Die Heizung ist im Winter sehr hilfreich und als wir einmal Probleme damit hatten, weil das Gas leer war, hat der Vermieter das innerhalb von 30 Minuten gelöst. Uns hat die Lage sehr gut gefallen, nahe an Olhao, aber grün und ruhig gelegen. Wir würden wieder dorthin fahren.

We live in England (South Shropshire), but spend as much time as we can in Portugal. We fell in love with the wonderful, unspoilt East Algarve 15 years ago and have finally been able to realise our dream of having a holiday house there.

Why they chose this property

Casa Josephina is, for us, the perfect combination: a beautiful house with a large and private garden, totally secluded and not overlooked by other properties, but not isolated. The countryside is totally unspoilt - a rolling landscape of olive, almond, orange and lemon orchards - yet you're only 5 minutes away from Olhao with all its shops and restaurants, and the little ferries to all the lagoon islands. As we're golfers, but didn't want a house on a golf complex, Casa Josephina is ideally located for us, with at least a dozen courses within 20 - 30 min drive.

What makes this property unique

One of the great things about Casa Josephina is that there are so many places to sit and relax. You can flop by the pool on one of the sun loungers, or under the new poolside loggia if you prefer- or on a shady terrace under the carob trees - or in the covered outdoor eating area with views over the almond and olive orchard next door - or on the kitchen terrace (a suntrap in the morning) - or on the first floor terrace, with its fantastic views of the sunset or southwards down to the sea. So many choices - you hardly need to go elsewhere!
We love the large and well-matured garden, with its glorious displays of roses and its huge variety of fruit trees (orange, lemon, peach, pomegranate, fig, loquat....) Gardening is one of our passions.
