Why Giampiero chose Porta al Prato
Borgo Ognissanti is a long street on the western edge of Firenze’s city center that got its name from the All Saints’ Church, as did the famous square of the same name. From 1250 on the area was home to many woolmaking shops. Horseracing also took place along this road during the Palio of the Barbarians. Nearby are many beautiful historic buildings, including the Chiesa Evangelica di Battista, the Casa alla Rovescia, Palazzo Lenzi, Ospedale Vecchio di San Giovanni di Dio, and the Casa Galleria Vinchi.
What makes this Apartment unique
In Piazza Ognissanti, you can enjoy an aperitivo on the spectacular panoramic terrace of the Hotel Excelsior or you can stroll along the Lungarno just a few meters from your apartment. There is a first-run movie theater right nearby, and there are several places where you can rent a scooter or bicycle to help you get around the city. And remember, it’s only a 5 minute walk to the most “in” boutiques in Firenze!

Beautifully renovated apartment with an excellent location!
Stayed 3 nights during the first week of May and could not have been more satisfied. The apartment has just been fully renovated with high end finishes and furnishings. Location is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the train terminal (SMN) and only 2 blocks over from the river. Europcar rental is across the street and a grocery store is on the same side only 2 storefronts away. Could not have been in a more perfect location for my wife and I and if we return to Florence this is defiantly the place to stay!!
