About Nicholas Langham
Hi. My name is Nick, and my wife and I own 18 Kelwyn Court. We are currently enjoying retirement and live in Winchester. We have had a long relationship with Cornwall and the South West (my wife is Cornish) and we have made many visits over the years. We regard it as a second home.
Nicholas Langham purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Nicholas Langham chose Carbis Bay
We purchased this apartment some 10 years ago and use it as a holiday home. It has been a useful base to allow us to visit the whole County at different times, as well as meeting with relations. We love our occasional trips to this area. Its famous scenery is superb and we enjoy seeing the sea in all its moods. The history of the County adds a further layer of interest to investigate. Footpaths can take us to remote areas and there's nothing like a good dose of invigorating fresh air. Our sons and families take full advantage of sun, surf and beach activities.
What makes this Apartment unique
* Well equipped home-from-home * Closeness to A30 * Parking space * Good access to local amenities * Walking distance to the Beach and Coast Path * Bus routes which facilitate walking expeditions * Many walking routes to take * Hidden gems to discover and explore

Good location to access surrounding area. Comfortable and fully equipped apartment.
My first visit to St Ives. Overall a good location with easy access to the surrounding area. We'll equipped apartment although some of the furniture and furnishing were a little tired. Will visit again.
Nice apartment in a great location. Beach a short walk (though an up hill climb on the return).
Apartment had everything you'd want including decent shower, TV and WiFi.
A modern, clean and comfortable holiday apartment. Great location with beautiful Carbis Bay beach a 10 minute walk downhill and in the other direction Tesco - so conveniently close. Really easy for our family to enjoy the walks, beach and local area. We had a lovely stay, thank you.
It’s good to know that you appreciated our family apartment, it’s location, it’s convenience and the quality of the local beach thanks for your comments!
Property very comfortable and good base for walking and getting to the beach. Good area for keeping fit with all the hills! A handy supermarket nearby.
Perfect location and type of property for us
We enjoyed our 4 day break at the 'flat' in Carbis Bay. Sadly the sea views are almost blocked by foliage growing in the neighbour's garden! The accommodation was well equipped and we had plenty of space. Good to have a parking slot too. I think the bunk beds are not so great for older people but we managed!
(Note: attention needed to bathroom door - hard to open and close properly and upholstery on chairs and cushions needs cleaning - rug on floor also dirty)
very Nice flat, great for two people or small family.
Flat was well place for the beach and supermarket. Pleasant walk to St Ives but a bit uphill on the way back! Clean and well appointed.
Pleased to know you enjoyed your stay. WE often catch the bus back from St Ives up the hill!
Special interest holidays:

Local Horse Riding with beautiful NT treks across the moors.
St Ives is a quintessential seaside town-cum-port with golden sands, and unusual light that has always attracted groups of Artists. It also boasts the Tate Modern Art Gallery, Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Bernard Leach Pottery and Museum.
10 mins walk to Carbis Bay Beach is down Valley Rd and a footpath. It is a safe beach, has lifeguard support, as well as shop, cafe, restaurant and toilets.
St Ives (2 miles) has 4 beaches, one of which (Porthmeor) is for surfing.
Gwithian and Godrevy beaches on the other side of the Bay are within 5 miles and are ideal for beach sports, rock pools and surfing etc.
The South West Coast Path gives access to many remote parts of the cliffs and bays where you can commune with nature!
Newquay Airport is 30 miles distant
Penzance(8 miles) is the main terminus for SW Trains from Paddington, although a stop at St Erth and then the branch line to St Ives can drop you off at Carbis Bay itself. Taxis are available at St Erth Station.
Bus routes from St Ives to Penzance and Truro pass by Kelwyn Court.
Cars are our main recommendation for your travel to and from, however
Within a radius of 25 miles you will find a great variety of attractions to suit all tastes. Beaches and delightful coastal villages abound. From Mousehole to Mullion, ...from Newlyn to Newquay. National Trust properties, Gardens and Art Galleries are all nearby. Porthcurnow Telegraph Museum and Falmouth Maritime Museum are two major attractions. Why not take in a performance at Minack Open Air Theatre, perched on the cliffs above Porthcurnow?
For children try Flambards Adventure Park, Helston.
Locally in Carbis Bay there is a supermarket, convenience store, post office, take-away food (including a Fish and Chip Restaurant favoured by local people), restaurants of all types and cash machine. Most main banks are in St Ives, along with a doctor's surgery and dental practice.
