Batson House is furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard throughout. The house is ideally suited to one or two families for the perfect holiday or short break away. There is a spacious open plan living area on the ground floor and 3 excellent-sized bedrooms on the first floor with a beautiful tiled family bathroom, and stylish shower room. On the lower ground floor there is another large king-sized bedroom with ensuite shower room. The house is the perfect base to explore not only everything Salcombe has to offer, but also nearby Dartmouth, and the surrounding area of the South Hams, Devon.

Just wonderful!
Batson House was a perfect location to spend with our family and friends. It was clean and beautifully decorated, well equipped and a great location. It made our week in Salcombe comfortable and easy - we plan to be back soon!

Batson House is owned by the Fisher family who have recently renovated the house and brought it back to its former glory. They enjoy staying in this beautiful home, & then rent it out when the family are not using it. John is a lawyer living in Upton-upon-Severn, & is married to Sue. They enjoy their weekends on the beach with their daughter Olivia & their dog. James is a management consultant living in Leigh-on-sea with wife Victoria. Their children Emily & Edward love wandering around Salcombe, Emily for the shops, and Edward much prefers the crabbing!

Why they chose this property

The family love Salcombe, having spent every summer there with their parents while growing up, so buying Batson House, close to the centre of town, was something they've always wanted to do. Salcombe is an idyllic estuary town, with something for everyone. Batson House is a short 5-minute walk into town, but its elevated position provides peace and quiet and lovely estuary glimpses. The house is spacious, and perfect for 2 families or 3 generations to enjoy a very special time away, in a very special town.

Batson House is a real home from home with everything you need for a fabulous holiday in Sunny Salcombe. It has recently been fully renovated to a very high standard and beautifully decorated throughout. As well as being within a short walking distance of all the shops, bars & restaurants in Salcombe itself, you can also easily walk to the beaches of North Sands and South Sands, and the Spar convenience store is a 5 minute walk away.
