Luxury Traditional Cambridge house in the heart of the city
- english, french, spanish, Mandarin Chinese
I have lived in Cambridge for the last 7 years and I love it. My place is in a fantastic neighbourhood consisting of local residents mixed with Cambridge university students. Bicycles all over the place add to the character, this is inside the inner ring road so once you are here you have everything you need on your doorstep. Its an extremely safe and tranquil area, with no crime at all. The street is quiet and a church is opposite the property, but you only have to walk to the end of the street and you will find the buzzing atmosphere of Cambridge all around. I am so lucky to have purchased such a lovely place in such an amazing location, its so good that I want others to have the chance to experience it and this wonderful city.
Why Graham chose Cambridge
Many places, say they are central, but my place really is. Jesus college and Christs college are less than 5 minutes walk, Sidney Sussex, Emmanuel are a little more, Trinity and Kings, about 10 minutes, even closer are Parker's Piece, Christs Pieces, Midsummer Common, The River and Jesus Green (all less than 5 minutes). Also nearby are numerous free museums and you have a huge array of quirky restaurants and coffee houses. Supermarkets such as Waitrose is less than 3 minutes walk and Tesco and Sainsbury's a little further, ideal for getting supplies. Opposite the property is the beautiful Christ Church with regular events and music. Just around the corner is a wonderful traditional English Gastro Pub with modern tasty food options and lots of beers and wines. There is a multi screen cinema complex less than 2 minutes walk.
What makes this House unique
There's access to a fully fitted kitchen with dining table and chairs, a rear courtyard which is a sun trap, downstairs toilet, upstairs bathroom with bath and powerful shower over, toilet and wash hand basin, plus of course the two bedrooms. You have use of a comfortable sofa in the main bedroom to relax and watch the television. Main bedroom has double bed, smart HD TV with WiFi, chest of drawers, sofa, bedside tables and lamps and all the usual stuff to make you as comfortable as possible. The other bedroom has a single bed and another mattress underneath, wardrobe with hangers. There's a vacuum cleaner and iron and ironing board you can use. You have access to both of these bedrooms.

Great spot for couple or small family
Excellent location near the centre of Cambridge and close to Midsummer Common. The house is very tidy and good for a couple or a small family. The property (second bedroom and dining area) can be tight with more than 2 adults, but Graham makes this very clear before and after booking. Communication with Graham was helpful prompt. We had an excellent stay!
Excellent location in heart of Cambridge
Small tidy two bedroom home with fully stocked kitchen that includes a clothes washer. Sitting room in the larger bedroom—no living or dining room. Small patio. 10 minute walk to Christ’s college, 20 minutes to King’s, and just a few steps to a major shopping center for anything you need. The larger bedroom is quiet. The small single bedroom does get street noise. Graham is very responsive. Note that the hot water is not always on, so that was a bit of a problem with our evening schedule. Be sure to let the owner know ahead of time so he can “boost” the hot water—it takes 15-30 minutes to heat up.
Recommended, but not for four
This is a clean and well-organized house that unfortunately locks its full potential up to visitors. As other reviews have mentioned, the space that is being offered is only part of the house: the top-floor master and ground-floor lounge are both closed off. This leaves a small sitting area in the double bedroom and the kitchen as the only common gathering spaces. For our family of four, this was just not enough room. Graham is a good host who was easy to work with and very responsive during our stay. His house is quiet and tidy. The location is in the middle of Cambridge, maybe a half-mile from most of the colleges and historic sites. It is near to a large shopping district and several nice restaurants and pubs. Depending on the reasons for your visit, this could be an ideal spot in which to stay if you are travelling in a group of two or three or with smaller children. For us it was just too cramped without the use of the lounge.
Very pleasant flat
We enjoyed staying at the flat in Cambridge. We found it easy to access and in a good location for us, walkable to the university and other sites. The flat was clean and well equipped. Just an FYI for others, the flat has a half bath and a kitchen downstairs, but no real living room or sitting room. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bath. The double bedroom does have a sitting area, which worked quite well for us.
Comfortable and pleasant
The house is in an excellent location and in lovely condition; it made for a pleasant stay from our family.
Thank you Graham and best wishes.
Very nice house in a great location!
House is clean and comfortable with enough space for my wife, two kids and I. Owner is quick to respond to any questions. Located in the perfect spot for us to walk to pubs and visit family. If you are staying in Cambridge don't hesitate to book.
